Renji walked in hesitantly, closing the door softly behind him. He studied his friend intently, his eyes roaming over the long blond hair and light blue eyes. It was clear the other was resting before Renji interrupted him. "Are you all right?" he asked his friend quietly, frowning. It wasn't usual for Kira to be resting in the middle of the day. The red head glanced over at Kira's desk and rolled his eyes when he saw the stack of papers. "It's ridiculous the amount of paperwork we have to do these days!" he exclaimed, sighing. "You would think we could relax a bit after the long war with Aizen, but noooooooo." Renji shook his head in exasperation. "Well at least you don't have to get it done right away," he muttered. "Kuchiki-Taicho always makes me turn mine in early. He thinks it makes our division look better than the others." Renji made a face. "Well it certainly makes us look like the most boring. All we do is paperwork! Eh oh well. I shouldn't complain. If word got back to Taicho his reaction wouldn't be good."
Renji smiled slightly, and walked over to a chair opposite Kira's, sitting down. "Anyway, what have you been doing other than paperwork lately? I haven't seen you around much. Of course that may be because of all the paperwork I've had to do...." Renji grinned. "I say we have some fun today! We certainly deserve it. Oh! Be right back!" Renji jumped up and hurried out the door, picking up a bottle of sake he had left outside in case Matsumoto happened to be in Kira's office with him. He'd seen the Vice Captain drink, and the scenes that came after were never pretty. Renji walked back into the office and set the bottle on the desk before sitting down again on the chair. "Ya got any cups?"
