It had been a long day, Aoide reflected as hot water pounded against her skin. Had she actually held a half day of training? Her, Aoide Sato, normally laid back and kind to her squad? Granted, she had done it for their own good, when was the last time Captain Shunsui had actually put his squad through training. She was pretty sure it had been a while, and she was pretty sure that Nanao wasn't the type to train them either. Great, she had a lot of catching up to do with Squad 8, and she wasn't looking forward to the extra work. She let out a long sigh, scrubbing her body and hair until the ache in her muscles disappeared. Seems she might have been a little out of practice as well. Figures, the relaxed nature of Captain Shunsui had caused her to relax on her training. Her early morning training had turned into afternoon, then to evening, which then turned to drinking with Captain. She was such a failure, how was she suppose to get any stronger if she wasn't even training like she should? Hadn't she begun trying to be amidextious like her Captain? How was that going? She could write some and butter toast, but she couldn't fight. Swordfighting with a naganita was much different then trying to fight with her less dominate hand with her regular blade. Weak, she was so damn weak, would she ever be as strong as she wanted to be?

No, not anytime soon.

Aoide turned off the shower, stepping out she dried herself off. Which seemed a little silly to her, after all. since she had cleaned herself she was just going to go soak in the bath anyway. Picking up her brush, she brushed the tangles out of her long brown hair. She just couldn't seem to relax, she knew that she should, that she should cut her Squad some slack. They only went on missions as a last resort, but that was no excuse for them to get flabby and lazy. It was Captain Shunsui, Aoide stopped brushing her hair at that thought. Or, maybe she was too serious, hadn't he told her when they had first met not to be so serious and to be herself. But then, who was that? She would have to do some thinking on that, it had been a while since she could be that carefree girl in the Academy.

Finished with her hair, Aoide wrapped her only towel around her hair. She gathered her things and headed out to the hot spring, not caring that her slim form was naked to the world. The Yuu family annually danced naked around a fire in the winter time, they were known for their casualness with their bodies. Aoide shook her head, what an odd thought, she thought as she walked towards the spring. Then she froze, someone had beat her to the hot springs.

As she set her things down on a nearby rock, Aoide wondered if Captain Kyoraku was naked. Her cheeks flushed, really? He took a deep breath and closed his eyes rubbing his eyes a bit, he was asleep before she arrived, But the Spirit pressure had woken him up. He coughed a bit into his hand as he took another sip of sake, Still offering the cup to her "Sake?"

Aoide grinned even more as Captain Kyoraku pulled out a bottle of sake. She couldn't help it though, her eyes wandered down that arm that held the sake. It was lean, and well muscled as well as covered in fine hair that made her shiver slightly. Aoide wouldn't admit, even to herself, she did like men who had hair on their chest. Aoide was pulled out of her thoughts at Captain Kyoraku mentioned sake. Shunsui closed his eyes as she accepted the sake and grinned a bit when she mentioned that it was her sake. He took a moment to look around for a moment then brought his gray gaze back upon her beautiful eyes, Filled with emotion, filled with life.

Aoide's eyes widened a little, that disappearing of that lazy, casual smile. That smile as if he knew something as if he could read her thoughts, her soul. That same smile she sometimes loved, and other times she just wanted to punch her Captain in the face. At this moment, she loved it, feeling as if she had done something to make him happy. Did she like making him happy? Only when she wanted to, she wasn't about to do it when he wanted her to. She was stubborn like that.

But then, then it was gone, that grave look on his face. Fuck, she had just blurted out something very painful without any tact just because she was unsure. Aoide felt like the worst person in the world, why could she speak elequently and play those games that somegirls could do to get that comfimation to make her feel better? She chewed on her bottom lip until it hurt as she watched Captain Kyoruka get out of the spring, wrap himself in his pink robe, and make to leave. No, she didn't want to feel so bad, to let him leave after what she said, she would feel like they would be seperating on bad terms.

Aoide climbed out of the spring, catching up with Captain Kyoruka, her slim fingers reaching out and grabbing some of the pink robe to stop him. But a lot of times, I don't mind," she managed to say before covering her face in embaressment with her hands.

Shunsui was hurt, Though he could not blame her. No one knew his weakness when it came to Lisa and Nanao, for good reason. A captain had to be emotionally stable at all times and never emotionally unsure. When she grabbed a hold of his pink haori his eyes closed for a moment before he turned around standing just as naked infront of her as she was him.
