Personality: Zanji is a very polite, friendly, and well-mannered
person, however he does not back down from a challenge. He is a very
loyal and protective person He mostly remains optimistic regardless of
what his situation is. Zanji is kindhearted and treasures all living
things. He also has a "dark side" to his normal sweet personality he
can be deceptive, arrogant, and show no mercy - which is only shown
when he is fighting or gets drunk.

Zanji is always respectful to
everyone, including his enemies. However, he isn't respectful enough to
give them to much of an advantage over him. Time has made him cautious,
and he seldom lets his emotions get the better of him and run into
battle without thinking. However, if roused his anger can be quite
fierce.

Background/RP Sample
Background: Zanji was born into a loving family. He had a loving
mother and a caring father. Zanji was a very strange baby he rarely
ever cried. Since Zanji could crawl he would always go for his families
piano. His mother had a feeling that Zanji would grow up to be a
wonderful musician. When Zanji reached the age of 6 his mother taught
him how to play the piano. When Zanji first touched the keys he began
to play a complicated song on the piano that would be at a grand
pianists level. His mother tried other instruments but Zanji didn't
like them until he played the violin. Zanji loved playing the violin.
Zanji then began school at the age of six he acceled quickly through
his classes. Later on his parents had Zanji tested for his
Intelligence. Zanji scored a 180 on his intelligence test at the age of
6. Zanji often day dreamed while in school because he already knew what
the lesson was about he had read and memorized all his text books for
each grade he would be in. Zanji often saw strange blurs though as he
grew up but he passed them off as illusions brought on by the day
dreaming. Zanji brought about much praise around his family and friends
when he did well in school. The tragedy struck when Zanji had turned 7
he was out playing one day when a car ran over him. He awoke with the
sounds of sirens around him. He looked around and saw the medics
carrying off a body to the ambulance he went and to his horror saw that
it was himself. He looked at his body and saw a chain hanging over his
chest the chain was broken. He screamed for help and a person in a
black kimono came and drew out there katana and hit his head with the
end of the sword.

In death Zanji awoke many many hours later.
Zanji eyes gazed in wonder he was suddenly surrounded by more
structures than he had ever seen in his life. He checked himself for
injury... there was nothing. The impact hadn't left a mark, that he
could tell... no pain, nothing. He was confused. Where was he? How had
he gotten there?

He wandered for hours, trying to find someone
that would tell him what was going on. If he was dead, was this heaven?
It didn't seem like it.... It took him several hours to find someone
that would explain what had happened to him. A young girl, who looked
like she could be barely older than himself.

He was still
confused, but over time he managed to understand the concept of the
world. It didn't keep him from being depressed about it though. He
wandered the area, that he had been told was called the 'Rukongai,' for
several days before he found an older woman that offered to take him
in. He quickly found out she was much 'older' than she looked. He also
learned that the men in black robes he'd seen here and there in the
area were called 'Shinigami.' Later on Zanji was adopted by the women
and was raised by her for a few years. Zanji lived in the rough part of
the rukongai district were there were fights constantly. So Zanji
trained himself in combat. He found he had a natural talent for it. it
wasn't until many years later that one night Zanji was dreaming
reacquiring dream of a person looking at him and speaking to him but he
couldn't hear that persons voice. He awoke one night and he saw that
there was a shinigami standing by his window. it was the same shinigami
that had brought him to the soul society. The shinigami spoke with
Zanji, and after a while, convinced him that he should try and get into
the academy. He eventually agreed, and gained entrance to the academy
after working hard to gain entrance.

After years of studying and
training Zanji graduated the academy at the top of his class. He was
later then assigned to squad ten. Zanji was exceptionally well trained
in kidou and swords fighting. Zanji occasionally had that same dream
were he was looking at that person but unable to hear them. So he
talked with a fellow squad mate about it and he was told that that was Zanji's zanpaktou calling out to him. If Zanji wanted to unlock its hidden powers he would have to learn its name. Zanji trained daily to
the point of him passing out on the floor form exhaustion. after months
of training he finally heard his zanpaktou speaking to him. He learned
his swords true name Veritas.

Manifestation: a man wearing a old style suite with a large tophat and a semi beard and mustache with a white shirt and a red bow tie.
Sealed Zanpakuto: regular katana but with one side white and the other side black.
Shikai: The name of Zanji's sword is called Veritas.
Zanji's
Zanpaktou makes a complete change in form form the form of a katana to
that of a Zweihander sword. The swords length goes to 76 inches. The
pommel of the sword has a gold end to it The blade it self has change
in color on the edges of the sword there is a black out line. But on
the inside of it it is white. At the top of the blade there is a black
line that goes town the blade and a second black line that makes the
lines form a black cross.
Shikai Ability:( Veritas has the ability to fire out a green wave of reiatsu at the apex of Zanji's swing of the sword, which fires concentrated reiatsu blasts from the tip of the blade in a shape of a wave

Manifestation: appearance is that of a man. The man is wearing a white
button overcoat with white gloves and a long black shirt underneath the
coat with a black bow tie. Its skin is black as night. But its eyes
appear as nothing is there there are just to white holes. When the
mouth opens there is no visible tongue or teeth just whiteness like the
eyes.
Ability: cero, inscreased strength of veritas strike and physcial strength.

Techniques
Name: Shunpo
State: Both
Description: a movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye
can follow. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique
is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is
best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in

So, what does that "green wave" of reatsu do? Make the air smell like a fart? Cut the enemy..? Please explain.
