Glee's Numbers Sing; NCIS Still Most-Watched King

Glee proved it was no Cold Case dvd freshman fluke, according to overnight Nielsen estimates.
Fox was No. 1 for Golden Girls dvd series the night as the musical dramedy drew 12.3 million viewers and its second-highest rating The wire dvd series ever among the 18-to-49 demographic. Tuesday night's Season 2 premiere was also Sex and the City series dvd up 57 percent over Glee's premiere last fall (which was a repeat of its Friday Night Lights series dvd spring preview), and it was the night's highest-rated series in the demo.

Fox's new comedies The Good Wife dvd series, Raising Hope (7.5 million viewers) and Running Wilde (5.9 million viewers) lost a large chunk Bleach box set of the lead-in, but performed better than So You Think You Can Dance did true blood season 3 dvd in the time slot a year ago.
CBS placed second true blood dvd release overall for the night, though NCIS (18.9 million viewers) was still the night's Disney movie collection most-watched program. It was, however, down about 19 percent from the previous season's premiere CSI Las Vegas season 1-10 dvd release date. A two-hour block of NCIS: Los Angeles averaged 14.7 million viewers NCIS season, a dip from the more than 18 million viewers that tuned into the series premiere a year ago.

Detroit 1-8-7 did manage Human Target dvd colleciton to tie Parenthood (5.9 million viewers) in the demo, with the NBC family drama losing 11 percent Felicity dvd series from its premiere a week ago. NBC took fourth place overall, as The Biggest Loser (7.2 million viewers) had its lowest-rated premiere sharpe box set ever, falling 24 percent from the previous year.
