Testing

Matsu stepped into the sterile laboratory and breathed in deeply. It was all sleek and shiny metal, with computer terminals set up in neat, orderly rows. There were several chambers with see-through walls that were also immaculate. Shinigami of the 12th Division sat at some of the terminals, working on whatever it was they were working on. Since no volunteers were here as of yet, Matsu told the Shinigami in the room to let him know when they arrived, and moved into his own private part of the lab.

Walking through the door, Matsu was greeted by the sight of a darker room with a larger terminal, as well as only one see-through chamber. He accessed his personal account and began combing through archives of previous research to see if there was anything of interest. The previous Captain's dummy organs looked interesting...

"Taicho, the captain of the 5th division is here for your appointment", one of his seated officers said as they entered the room, kneeling down in respect for him. Despite their former captain`s insaine ways, he was a genious, but the 12th division felt more safe having this new captain. A woman entered the room, and she watched as the officer left.

The woman had long untied snowy white hair, pale skin with a soft tane, and blue eyes. She was wearing a standard shinigami uniform with the very top of her cleveage showing, the white captain haori with the 5th division kanji and symbol on the back, wich confirmed her rank. Her zanpaktou was placed in its holster, hanging from her hip, tied into a dark blue ribbon tied around her waist.

"You wanted to see me Amatsu taicho?", she softly spoke in a gentel tone, not seeming to be scared or such by the large terminal. Yuuri had been in the 12th division barracks befor, but it was only when she accopanied Aizen at his meetings with the 12th division captain, Mayuri. Despite she was at most of the meetings, Yuuri used to sit in a room next to the meeting room with the "dautgher", of the captain, Nemu, disccusing topics.

"Oh yes, I did," Matsu swiveled around in his chair, minimizing what he was looking at on the terminal before he did so (he was still examining the properties of the dummy organs, and wondering if he could improve on them somehow). His hair was messy as usual, and he looked a little undernourished and pale under the blue flickering light of the terminal. Matsu wore many items of clothing not typically found on Captains, including hi-top black Converse, a hemp necklace and bracelet, as well as a strange pair of engineer goggles. The goggles he pushed up his forehead so he could look at Reikou Yuuri with his own eyes.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice," he said graciously. "Please call me Matsu. I'm not much for formality. Anyway, I requested the presence of several people here to help me as test subjects. There is some information in the archives here, as well as items of my own creation that I wish to have tested by people other than myself."

He swiveled back around and brought up several split screens. On one screen was information on a portable gigai, another was about a virus, another was about a reiatsu shield, and yet another was about what appeared to be the goggles around Matsu's head. There appeared to be several more files that didn't fit on the screen as well.

"If you'd like, I can give you detailed information on pretty much anything I have here. Or we can wait till we are joined."

"Who is it you have called in? I only remeber rechiving information about a new type of bankai trainning using one of uruha kisuke`s projets..testing out serval things at once is abit risky, and i can only asume the bankai subject is meaning that one of us has to realise our bankai to test it..but again, its only what i asume". He did look abit like a mad sientice, Yuuri thought, as she remebered the old 12th division captain yet again, he was always intrested in reseaching unique powers, and he had, had a short intrest when he found out that Yuuri could use two elements already in shikai state, wich was qutie unique, having 2 elements was rare among shinigami, almost as rare as double zanpaktou`s. But he had quickly lost intrest, since her promotion to the third-seat meant he could`t touch her because her of rank, and he quickly moved on to something else.

"If you could provide me the reason for me being here, it would state my questions for now"

"Ah well, *your* purpose for being here is because I need subjects who are more powerful than the average Shinigami. Some of the experiments are...unsuitable for people who have not reached a certain potential. Some of them are...dangerous, we'll say," Matsu said. He formed his fingers into a steeple and his brow furrowed as he tried to think of how he wanted to phrase his next sentence. "Besides these there are other projects of course. Of course, I would like to see *my* ideas actualized, but I must say my predecessors have given me a lot of stuff to aspire to."

He brought up a couple more pages on the terminal, but kept the file on the portable gigai up. "For example..." he pointed out a doll that was supposed to help someone achieve Bankai faster. "I also like this," he pointed out a cloak that hid reiatsu signature completely. "Very useful for 2nd Division. I wonder if we could mass produce these for them?" More files popped up. "I'm also very interested in my immediate predecessor's work with dummy organs and mechanical things like that...I found some very interesting files on nanobots that I'm dying to read later."

He swiveled back around to look at Reikou Yuuri again. "I think your help would be most useful with things like the Bankai doll, the portable gigai- the stuff that is intended for people with high caliber power. I hope that answers why you're here. If not, I shall try to be more clear- I tend to think far faster than I speak when I'm excited about science, and sometimes skip over important details, so feel free to let me know if I have done so."

He paused a moment. "I actually did not invite anyone specifically except for the Vizard Rose Otoribashi. But I do know that the Captain Koori Yuki is also coming...I hope that this will be mutually beneficial," Matsu mused.

"Rose Otoribashi eh?...", the white haired captain asked, as she walked up to the terminal, looking up at it, narrowing her eyes slightly. She had heard the stories about ichigo from Hinamori and the other shinigami`s, how he obtained bankai on mere 2 days. Yuuri had already in her first few months of being in rukongai, had strange dreams about a glowing tempel, a angel wearing preist robes, and a soft voice calling for her. She had been a few months in the 4th division as a 4th seat due to her skills in kido, when she first heard the voice clearly. When she obtained shikai, her abilities with it caught the attention of the 5th division captain, Aizen, who took her into his squad as his 3th seat...

"dummy organs?...Marui taicho was always..very creative, he was always prepeared no matter what happend..". Yuuri ran her pale fingrs over the keybard slightly, removing some dust from it, even through the 12th division was one of the core division`s, their captains always tended to be abit..mad, being a genious takes it turns it seemend.

"I'm very excited to work with Rose; there doesn't seem to be much information at all about Vizards on the database," Matsu said, disappointed. He sounded almost childish in his disappointment. But then his face brightened. "At least anything new discovered will be attributed to me, hehehe." His eyes flicked over the screen. "I should also start having that regenerative serum that Mayuri-dono developed on hand at all times. Seems very useful. And gives me hope for the future of my virus- although it's only a virus in the loosest sense of the word. So far as I know, it causes no damage, and we've had fairly successful trials with our animal subjects."

"Anyway, back to the Bankai doll," Matsu smiled. "Thankfully, there is a record of that on the database, and I'm fairly certain I could make one right here if necessary. But it is possible that there's one or more kicking around here." His eyes closed thoughtfully for a moment, and then he said, "They are supposed to forcibly manifest one's Zanpakuto spirit for a total of three days, at which point if Bankai is not achieved, the user dies. From reiatsu exhaustion? If a Captain were to use it, then what? Would the spirit manifest without consequence?"

He began to mutter under his breath, and then brought up yet another screen. This one was filled with all kinds of mathematical formulas that seemed to run together on the screen. Matsu seemed to understand it well enough, and began tracing one with his index finger as he muttered to himself. "That makes sense...hmm...now that's interesting..."
