Kouka was born into money and she thought her life was great. Kouka has a sister named Kiniko and an odd family that always seemed on edge. Throughout time the family buisseness started to fail and money dwindled. Her sister and parents always fought until the tragic day in which Kiniko walked out the door to go to school and never came back home. Kouka's parents were odd after the incident, they always broke out in pure laughter when talking about Kiniko which drove kouka mad.
Kouka was always told that Kiniko ran away, so she always spent her free time looking for her. One day Kouka finally gave up on searching for her sister and later saw a black butterfly fly around her house every so often. A few years after first seeing the black butterfly Kouka left her friends house and walked in the front door to see her sister in a goth lotia dress spattered with blood and shrieking with laughter. Kouka finally noticed a blade on the ground fully drenched in blood next to her parents. Kouka screamed to her sister asking why the hell she would kill her family. Kiniko turned around gave her a twisted smile then disappeared into thin air.
Kouka died because when her sister disappeared her heart gave out due to intensive shock. A mysterious shinigami with beautiful silver eyes and hair looked at Kouka's soul and saw that she looked so much like one of the aspiring Kidou users so he sent Kouka to the soul society. When Kouka got sent to the Soul Society she awoke in a flower patch of Chrysanthemums and felt their feelings and freaked out at this form of ESP. Kouka wandered the Soul Society until she reached the gates of this most wonderful of schools. When she walked up to the gates she got stopped by a gate warder and was asked by the warders for her reason to be here. The mysterious shinigami jump over the gates and grabbed Kouka by the arm and told the warders to lay off for Kouka was with him. The male said that he was the captain of the third division. The captain said that he felt massive spiritual pressure emanating off of Kouka, so he asked if kouka could under go the trial to make it into Shinou Academy. Kouka aced the trial and made it into the highest classes specialized in powerful Kidou and sword fighting.
Kouka was wanted by the members of Kidou Corps because she was very powerful in Kidou. Kouka chose to go to squad 12 because she though researching data and creating experiments. Kouka became extremely determined to reach her goal of proving her self to her sisterr and worked tooth and nail every day for the that goal. Kouka's powers are mostly flower based like her sister and wants to mend the world with nature's grace.
When Kouka got excepted into squad 12 she easily surpassed all of the veteran members with her intellectual capabilities and they were always shocked by her abilities and capabilities. Kouka was so happy when she gained a higher rank than her sister in the to the point that whenever she thought about her current rank she smiled. Kouka spent alot of time visiting to the human world to capture hollows and bring them back into the soul society for experimentation. People have stated that Kouka's strengths in kido have excelled beyond the ex-captain Tessai Tsukabishi of the Kidou Corps and he (Tessai) could manipulate time and space. Kouka is far too intelligent for her kind, she has easily learned and put together multiple crisis data puzzles that no one even the current captain figured out. Kouka has been able to restore so much data lost from the soul society and has been prided with that fact. She soon surpased her captain in every aspect and replaced him (the captain) by becoming the new squad 12 captain. Kouka was on her way to becoming the smartest shinigami of all time.
Kouka always tried to spend time with her sister but was always busy for she has been put under a grandeur amount of work. Kouka never really got much time to spend and her sister is always away on missions during her free time so she normaly heads out to her favorite garden and talks to her flowers for a few peaceful moments and to clear her head. Kouka is always ready to tackle the world for a better more peaceful future that might never come, but Kouka believes that if someone is to do it, it will be her. Kouka had gained the ability to operate the computer main frame from her personal data watch which she created. The computer's data is emmited from the watch through holographics.
Kouka is renown for going ballistic during fights and always completes her missions to their entirety. She fights with nature and kidou which is obviously known by everyone and can do some messed up stuff to her enemies when it comes down to torture. This amazing woman is the perfect strategist and knows how to assign roles to fight her enemies without a single casualty pertaining to his allies. Kouka has fought fights with hollows, vaizards, arrancars, and even an Espada and was the victor of almost each fight. When Kouka interrogates an enemy she leaves her enemies in a state of health that if they get poked by a needle they will practically fall down dead. Better yet whenever she experiments on her victoms she leaves them in an area bound forever until she disposes of them. She has many ways of fighting and every step in the fights leads the enemy closer to death. Also she rarely ever breaks sweat when she fights. Currently two fights that involved Kouka has she had major trouble with, once was when she fought a high ranking Espada which had to end with Hadō 88 Hiryugekizokushintenraiho which by then the Espada vaporized into air as if he had never been there. The second was when Kouka fought a superhuman who dealt in the use of so called "curse magic". The superhuman used an ability that placed the omega mark on Kouka's forehead and causes Kouka's powers to become unstablized when Kouka is around her specifically and or those who are powerful superhumans.
Kouka soon became the most legendary of all the squad 12 captains in history. This woman had many new likings in her new life. Kouka's love toward nature had increased and she would kill anyone who had dared to damage a flower in front of her. Kouka learned to be able to manipulate spiritual data and to place it onto paper allowing her to give out a lot of information to her allies on the backrounds of the battle zones and who we they are fighting. She also learned how to be able to combine elemental polarities to create destructive powers. Lastly, Kouka learned how to fuse together the spirit of Kouka's zanpacktou to improve her abilities powers and characteristics.
Kouka accidentally drank a potion that her lieutenant mixed up with and strange occurrences happened. Kouka previously was making a hollow based elixir that was not complete and still faulty. It was meant to counteract the hollowfication of anything but because of its incompleteness it sped up hollowfication processes. The way she did her science was by working the backwards way to the front. This meant she started with the power agent then used her counter agents after the agent formula is complete. The hollow that came out of the evolution was of a new breed. A light based being of harmony. The oddity of it was large and this concept gave fear to the C.C. for if a new race of hollows were to be created then they must be getting stronger... all of which was incorrect. A good hollow based on the powers of life and peace was not a threat at all.
Kouka was smited from chieftainship and casted to the human world where she encountered being of the same power. Hollow power. The demons cry was what she heard before entering their presence. A prophecy. To join the ranks of these people would bring upon powers of greatness but in the end a wicked rose will consume. she had no idea what this meant but a lot was meant to not be answered. Joining this organization would lead to the new revolution.
After awhile Kouka started feeling strange and started blacking out every so often. These obscene occurrences continued to happen for over three years and then one day it stopped. She thought that this was strange but she felt relieved but in truth she did not know what was going on with her brain. Inside her brain a malignant tumor was forming and reconstructing Kouka's brain. A year passed with no black outs then out of the blue Kouka fell into a comatose state. Kouka stayed in his comatose state for around thirty years and amazingly she awoke.
Kouka was not Kouka anymore. Everything about Kouka changed. Kouka had no memories just great silence and long pauses. Her memory was just one big whole hole. The hospital had not found any records of Kouka so they left her name written as Silencio the woman of silence. Kouka now Silencio found her way out of the hospital and made it to a grassland filled with beautiful chrysanthemums. Silencio was now shocked, the plants were talking to her. Soon following a huge chrysanthemum formed in front of Silencio and turned into a blade with plant inscriptions all over it.
Silencio spent years training with the blade that talked to him and Silencio remastered her shikai form. Every thing was going fine until a man with a face mask that looked monstrous entered her domain. Silencio's zan. spirit was screaming at her for it wanted Silencio to leave the premises immediately. Silencio's was scared as hell for she had never seen this mask in her current lifetime.
Flowers started to grow all around Silencio's body to protect her. These flowers were not controlled at all by Silencio but of a mysterious girl. And the flowers were roses to be exact. The teenager looking girl held a slight resemblance to Silencio. The flowers surrounding the girl, grew just like how her chrysanthemums grew. The chrysanthemums wanted to know why there was a resemblance, so they contacted the roses. The roses responded that the girl was Silencio's sister but they did not use the name Silencio but Kouka.
Silencio herself wanted to know what the reason the girl looked a lot like her. Silencio walked up to the girl and asked her what her name was. The girl looked at Silencio with widened eyes and wonderment. She had felt ok with her sister's forgetting. Slightly her hatred decreased. She looked at Silencio and spoke the words, "Its me Kouka, your sister Kiniko."
Silencio felt awestruck but she also heard the hatred in her voice so she immediately backed off. Silencio asked the girl Kiniko if she could take over and do the fight and after she said yes she ran away. Silencio now started to run away from the masked army and had been trying to hide the best she could. She had no plans of killing anything but just running.
A shinigami one day found the wandering Silencio and recognized her. She was actually and old friend of Kouka's. Well she approached him and started talking to him. Silencio had no idea who this girl was. She later said that her name was Miku and was Kouka's oldest friend. Silencio was saddened for she figured that her name was Kouka and she had no past, but in truth did.
She took Kouka to the Soul Society and brought her to the Captain Commander. He was not as evil to Silencio for it was reported that Kouka is not Kouka but a new persona called Silencio. Silencio was tried to see if her power levels were the same and they came to a near perfect match. Then the 12th division did many experiments on Silencio to see what has happened to Kouka. When the results came in everybody was shocked. Silencio's hollow mask had disappeared and completely changed his nuerological system. Silencio's powers were also slightly changed. Her spirit was warped and changed. The powers that both beings originally had obtain were morphed but still nature based.
The 12th division did some memory tests on Kouka using data logs from the Kido corps mainframe. Something amazing occurred, all of the Kido spells that Kouka used, had came back to her. The memories were warming and wonderful to kouka, this was because Kouka also gained every memory in which he used kido in. Many later on flashed into Kouka's view, showing many horrific scenes, such as destroying cities and doing assassinations for the masked freaks.
The C.C. saw that there was still potential and work that could be done with this girl, so she was assigned a very special role, being the Shinigami guardian of the human world. This was because the role as the Kido corps captain was filled up. later on, the gate between the worlds was opened and Kouka was off on the journey of her new life.
Zanpakuto InformationName: Senkakusha Release Phrase: Grant me my truth, Senkakusha Element/Family: Kido/Nature Manifestation: - Spoiler:
Sealed Zanpakuto: - Spoiler:
Shikai: - Spoiler:
Shikai Ability: Senkakusha in it's shikai form is that of a beautiful chrysanthemum. The blossom radiates a light that glows continuously. The flower blossom has a special ability that adds a load of power to all forms of kido, to be exact all forms of kido gain a 5% power plus. This flower also reacts to kido. Whenever a Hado is used, a beam of red light shoots out towards the target's previous area. A bakudo creates a shield around the head of the flower, kind of like a mask, and whoever touches the head of the flower first (enemy or ally) is protected for one whole post. Whenever a healing kido is used, the flower releases a pollen into the area, which in return heals all living things in the area for a short period of time. Hanabira Yaburimasu (Petal Break) - The summoned chrysanthemum points its glowing flower cap up onto the sky and then it shoots all of it's petals up and once they touch ground or soil, they start to grow into an army of lancer flowers. This ability can only be used one time each whenever the shikai is used. The Lancers are small cute chrysanthemums with little smiley happy faces that constantly spin. Whenever they attack they shoot out spears of light that once they break free from the plants they form into 12 foot long spears. The spears after that become basic spears that do piercing damage. shukketsu shimasu shinzoo (Bleeding Heart) - Kouka draws an artsy heart into the ground and out of it grows a forty foot tall bleeding heart flower that becomes an efficient protector wall. The Bleeding Heart is terribly viney and full of traps. The vines are thick, the blossoms explode if they are touched or damaged, and many spines grow out of the ground from the flower base. This in a whole, is a beautiful shell. kyuukyoku (Last Finale) - Kouka absorbs the chrysanthemum and uses it to create a powerful finisher move. The chrysanthemum and kouka's powers and soul fuse together for a powerful burst of damage. The amount of damage this attack produces would be equal to a kido spell of level 90. The Finale is a huge burst of energy that chain reacts with the areas atoms, kind of like a nucleus bomb. In 4 posts Kouka can activate his bankai or shikai, But in the cooldown time, Kouka has to fight with his sword. Bankai: - Spoiler:
Bankai Ability: Senkakusha in it's bankai form is way different than it was when it was in Shikai. The chrysanthemum has become a tall tree that has ever form of plant life growing off of it imaginable. The tree has a special ability that amplifies all forms of kido. hado spells gain a 10% power increase, bakudo spells gain a 15% increase, and healing kido spells gain a 20% increase. This tree also reacts to kido, just like it was in shikai. Whenever a Hado is used, a ballast of red spear-like beams shoots out towards the target's previous area. A bakudo creates a huge shield around the whole entire tree and whoever touches the tree first (ally or enemy) becomes invisible. Whenever a healing kido is used, the tree releases millions of flower petals into the area. The petals act as a cloak for both the enemies and allies of Kouka to move through. umaretsuki no (nature's birth) - Kouka raises his hands and summons up four maidens of the tree which help Kouka out. Each maiden has an extremely weak defense, but they have a good offense. Each of the maidens can use Kido ranked 1-45. When each maiden dies, their departure heals Kouka a little bit, just basic minor wounds. hana-masuku (flower mask) - A flowery mask forms in front of Kouka's face that allows him absolute control over plants and access to two energy based attacks. Kouka can make any plant he sees a weapon; grass becomes needles, shrubs become spike traps, lillies become laser shooting plants, and daisies become lancers (look above), and so forth. The first energy attack is like a cero, it is a white beam of energy that is as wide as the mask and shoots out in a straight direction. This attack is pure energy and can pack quite a punch if hit. This attack is ranked at about 50 in the kido scale, but takes way less reiatsu to shoot the attack out. The second attack is like a wave blast of energy that spikes outwards from the ground with the same power as the first beam, but multiple beams are formed in the ground. sakebimasu (sakebu) (Scream) - The tree releases hundreds of quill-like vines that strike the ground with full absolute force. The vines are like long, extremely deadly spikes that upon impact to the ground or anything disperse, leaving not a bit of evidence behind. The target can live through the spines if they are not hit in any vital areas, this weapon tech. is just like that of a spear being stabbed into the body. KidoChoose one of the following for each. | RP Sample: - Spoiler:
When it came to the Feast of Winter Veil, the Argent Crusade organizers surpassed the call of duty. No expense was spared, no festive addition left unexplored. For every Azerothian who argued that nothing good would come of such profligate revelry on Icecrown Citadel’s doorstep, at least three more had reasons to counter. After all, there was much to celebrate this year. The first major crack had appeared in the Citadel’s armor shortly before midwinter. Despite certain inflammatory leaders and the Lich King’s own designs, open war between Alliance and Horde had so far been avoided. The alliance with the Knights of the Ebon Blade continued to strengthen, and the military presence from the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor had solidified in Northrend.
With both the high road and popular opinion firmly on their side, the Argent Crusade set about creating the celebration soon after the end of Pilgrim's Bounty. They called the event the Tournament of the Winter Veil, because a grand elimination tournament would be the climax of the festival. Orders were dispatched to every corner of Azeroth, and were the subject of much speculation. Before long, messengers and deliverers began to arrive at the Crusade's patch of frozen earth in the remote northeast corner of Icecrown. They bore invoices, parcels, packages, and manifests for wagon and ship loads.
Travelers to the Argent Crusade’s daily jousts returned to their homes with tales of the strange goods arriving at the Tournament Grounds: exotic metals from the smiths of Thorium Point; strange fruits from Stranglethorn Vale; fireworks from Saltheril’s Haven and Moonglade; livestock fat for slaughter from the Barrens and Nagrand; bolts of cloth and barding from the tailors of Darnassus; and barrels and casks of potent drink from Gadgetzan, Sholazar Basin, Blackrock Depths, and the ogres of Blade’s Edge—just to name a few.
Next, the invitations went out. For the most part, these consisted of bright, eye-catching bills pinned to the notice boards outside every tavern and town hall from Darkshire to the Stormspire. A number of special invites, printed in the gold, silver, and black of the Argent Crusade, were hand-delivered to certain distinguished persons. Some of these meant to ensure the presence of Azeroth’s leaders; others were appropriately flattering requests to attend the invitation-only joust tournament that would comprise the last two days of the celebration.
The Argent Crusade built a number of wooden lean-tos and hoisted tents to house the anticipated multitudes on the open ground east and south of the two Pavilion tents. Indoors, the Silver Covenant and Sunreaver Pavilion floors were sectioned off. Luxurious tents of silk, leather, and canvas were raised there, out of the weather, to house the royal families and their attendants. Long feast tables beneath protective awnings were placed around the south and east wings of the Coliseum. The grandstands around the Ring of Champions were doubled in size, and a large box built in the center of the stands to comfortably seat Azeroth's nobles. Tales of anticipated delights grew to the point that some worried that the reality couldn’t possibly live up to the talk. Others were sure that the Argent Crusade would keep a few surprises up its sleeve no matter what.
At last, the opening day of the celebration arrived. Thousands of people of all races swelled the Tournament Grounds. Highlord Tirion Fordring officially opened the festivities, standing on a platform before the Argent Pavilion and welcoming everyone to the Tournament of Winter Veil. He had to shout to be heard, his words passed back along through the crowd for the benefit of those at the outer fringes.
With Fordring and his honor guard stood the leaders of Azeroth. It made the mind reel to see such great folk, some of them open adversaries, occupying the same space and waving to the vast crowd—even if the Horde leaders kept rank on one side of Fordring and the Alliance, the other. From the tauren Cairne Bloohoof with his broad bare chest furred and comfortable in the arctic cold, to High Tinker Gelbin Mekkatorque standing on a discreet box that allowed him to see over the railing, every noble house of Azeroth's great races was present.
It was five days before Midwinter. Highlord Fordring reminded all those present that the Argent Tournament's usual rules of armistice were in effect throughout the festival and would be enforced. He went on to add that he was certain such enforcement would be unnecessary, as the holiday spirit was thick as ghosts in the air. To emphasize his point, he indicated the mist raised by all the mingled breathing and talking. He got the laugh he wanted, waved once, and stepped down from the platform with a smile and a handshake for each of the visiting dignitaries.
Inwardly, the Highlord said a prayer of thanks to the Light that the opening ceremonies had gone so well. The periodic visits of Warchief Thrall and Garrosh Hellscream, coinciding with those of Varian Wrynn and Lady Jaina Proudmoore, had in particular worn his nerves thin. Adding the rest of Azeroth's noble families was a gamble. At least, thought Tirion as he strode into the Argent Pavilion in search of something resembling a large brandy, it was well begun.
Outside the Pavilion, the revelers began to amble through the grounds. Many folk had never been to the Tournament before and were openly awed at what they saw. Even those seasoned fighters who visited regularly were impressed. Garlands of holly and mistletoe bordered every arch and doorway. Red, white, and green streamers wrapped around every post, gate, and railing. At the stables, squires braided festive ribbons and favors into the bridles of the Tournament mounts. Vendors hawked their wares from the stalls southwest of the Coliseum and along the path to the Aspirants' Ring in the northwest. Many of the these offered spiced sweets free to children and hot drinks to their parents, earning them extra business for this small kindness.
All manner of folk thronged the grounds, from every race and continent, from infants to bent-backed old warriors. The chefs worked all morning and afternoon roasting and baking, and the brewmasters sweated to keep up with the demand for the excellent and varied drink as the afternoon waned toward evening.
The Crusade patrollers were on hand to put a quick stop to any grievances, but on this first day at least, nobody seemed compelled to fight. If one looked closely enough, it was possible to see the occasional night elf give a brief smile to a passing tauren, or—more incredibly still—to catch a Forsaken warlock stooped in a half bow to a gnome child. People ate, laughed, sang, drank, danced, and slept at will. The tables were laden and bellies were full. Teams of musicians played lively tunes at each of the Coliseum's four wings.
As the sun began to set, Jaina Proudmoore took her leave of the company in the Argent Pavilion to saunter through the Tournament Grounds arm in arm with her chamberlain, Aegwynn. Beneath long blond locks, Jaina's face reflected the serene calm she was feeling for the first time in she didn't know how many months. She strode without purpose, a relaxed set to her shoulders. It felt delicious to be so totally at ease.
The former Guardian at her side was by contrast as excited as a child. Aegwynn had braided back her long gray hair and was looking around constantly, trying to see everything at once, setting the plait in motion. Her eyes were bright and merry beneath the wrinkles of age. She was like some ancient spirit of the season, Jaina thought; she herself had no trouble succumbing to Aegwynn’s infectious good cheer.
From time to time, Aegwynn would let go long enough to dash over to a booth selling trinkets or foodstuffs. After a few moments, Aegwynn would emerge from her detour bearing a glass bauble to string about her neck, or a giant turkey leg which she waved around like a club, or a souvenir tabard to slip over her head. Jaina wasn’t sure, but she thought that Aegwynn was wearing no less than six tabards layered over her robes.
The two women passed the Aspirant's Ring and walked out to the northwest ledge to watch the sun set over the palisades and the sea below. Aegwynn finished her turkey leg, tossed the bone off the cliff, and dragged her ample sleeve across her mouth. “Are you happy we came, my Lady?” she asked, looking up at Jaina. There was a time when the Guardian would have looked down by several inches on the archmage, but the centuries had a way of bending one beneath their weight. “Or would you prefer to still be shuttling between Dalaran and Theramore, buried in the damned politics and paperwork you complained about leaving behind?”
The sun burst from behind a fleeting cloud, bathing the sea in molten gold and dazzling their eyes. Jaina turned her head away from the brightness and laughed, hugging Aegwynn’s arm to her side. “Don’t you dare my lady me, Aegwynn,” she retorted. “And the damned politics and paperwork, as you say, will still be waiting for me when I get back, deeper than ever.” She inhaled hugely, but shook off the weight with a laugh instead of a sigh. “Yes, I’m happy we came. Everyone needs to escape their responsibilities sometime, at least for a little while.”
Aegwynn nodded. “And you have more than most.” Turned as she was toward Jaina, she caught movement from behind them out of the corner of her eye. “Too bad you can't escape them all,” she added in a murmur.
Jaina felt the other woman’s tension through her arm and noted the direction of Aegwynn’s gaze. Nodding, she leaned her cheek against Aegwynn’s rough gray head, listening to the now-audible footsteps crunching through the snow toward them. “At least he’ll be fighting in the tournament, so I won’t have to baby-sit,” she whispered.
Aegwynn whispered back, “The tournament’s two days away, and I don’t think baby-sitting is at all on his mind.” As whispers went, it was an awfully loud one. Jaina resisted the urge to elbow her chamberlain in the ribs as the footsteps stopped mere yards behind them.
“Now, here's a lovely picture.” The voice, at once haughty and warm, embodied the duality that existed to the core in its owner, and to which Jaina had learned she must not give an inch. Unfortunately, the man could be as charming and genuine as he was volatile, which made her distrust of him—despite her outward show of support—harder for her conscience to bear.
It didn’t help that he had recently begun to court her, making no secret of his intentions.Jaina turned smoothly, affecting surprise, reflecting nothing. “Hello, Varian,” she said pleasantly.Aegwynn, not partial to such niceties, peered at Varian from beneath Jaina’s chin and her own craggy brows. “Well, if it isn’t the king of Stormwind,” she announced. “Now this is a nice surprise. Isn’t it a nice surprise, my lady?” Her voice and face were all innocent delight, yet Jaina sensed the mockery there and was sure Varian could too.
“Thank you, Aegwynn,” said Jaina firmly, hoping to quell her. To her horror, she found she was biting back laughter, rather than dismissing Aegwynn to other tasks, as she often did when Varian visited them in Theramore and her chamberlain was disinclined to be cooperative. Which, Jaina thought, was most of the time where Varian Wrynn was concerned. On that subject, Aegwynn was clear: Varian represented the single biggest threat to undoing everything Jaina had worked so hard to achieve since Lordaeron fell.
Jaina eyed Varian warily. Her position was a unique one, on two very different fronts. She represented the sole human beachhead in Kalimdor, which to Varian’s ambitions was a perfect conduit through which to launch an invasion or repel an attack in Horde territory. To Varian as widower, father, and man, however, Jaina Proudmoore was nearly as tempting as her city. She was beautiful, intelligent, well-bred, and independent. Jaina could hear this opinion in everything Varian said, and didn't say. She claimed none of those attributes herself.
What she did claim, she hoped, was that she was also intimidating. She had helped to nurse Varian's physical and mental health when he'd been only a shell of a man—or, rather, two men. He'd healed and overcome many of his demons, but she still had the psychological advantage of having known him at his worst and most helpless. Since that time, she had stood firmly in his way to prevent outright war with the Horde, counseling wisdom and refusing to credit his rantings. Her power gave him pause. It was probably the only reason he hadn’t asked outright for her hand.
Her deeper instincts (and, frequently, Aegwynn) screamed that he was the wrong choice for husband. He was reckless. He was dangerous, in more ways than one. His sheer masculinity appealed to Jaina on a primitive level, one that she often thought would make her life easier if she didn't possess. His courtship, while disturbing in all its implications, was also gratifying in a way that made her squirm in self-disgust. That same weakness whispered to her on sleepless nights, revealing that despite everything, some dark corner of her psyche still loved Arthas.
Ignorant of the turmoil in Jaina’s mind, Varian knit his brows at Aegwynn before according her a short nod. He turned his attention back to Jaina. The sounds of music and revelry came faintly to them across the grounds. Small groups of people strolled at a distance, but no one else had chosen to watch the sunset from their particular vantage point. Jaina stood in a nimbus of sunset light that tangled in her hair like a golden crown. Her face was in shadow so he couldn’t see her expression: just the curve of cheek and jaw as she coyly laid her cheek against Aegwynn’s hair.
He wasted no time coming to the point. “Jaina, do me the honor of dining with me tonight.” Despite the courteous phrasing, it wasn't a request. Jaina raised her head slowly, keeping her face expressionless. She had in fact hoped to dine with Thrall, in an attempt to rekindle her recently distanced friendship with the Warchief; to simply let him know she had enjoyed their conversations on the bluffs above Razor Hill, and missed them. However, she hadn't had the opportunity to speak to him about it—he'd been spirited away from the Argent Pavilion right after Tirion's speech by Sylvanas Windrunner, and between her and Garrosh, he'd seemed to have his hands full. Informing Varian of her intent to sup with his least favorite Horde leader would certainly dispel the tranquility and happiness Jaina had felt all afternoon. She wasn't ready to let go of it.
