A Meeting of the Captains

Soifon walked swiftly into the meeting room, and stood by the front of the room, waiting for the others to get there. She wondered what the meeting would bring, and was slightly nervous. Who wouldn't be? The Arrancar were planning to attack the Soul Society! Again! Soifon sighed and looked around. Why were the others taking so long?

A meeting. Byakuya was annoyed. He had been filling out paperwork when the word came, and he had to leave. Or course, Byakuya could always get the paperwork done later, but he didn't want to. He wanted to turn it in early so he had free time to do what he wanted. The raven haired captain sighed as he entered the room. Ignoring Soifon, he went to stand by the wall, and crossed his arms over his chest. He didn't care what this meeting was about. He just wanted to get out of there and get back to his paperwork.

Soren walks in wearing his rather awkward uniform and captains haroi which were inverted colors not knowing many of the captains this was a bit nerve racking for him what if he had made a mistake and insulted one of them? Anyways he looked at Soifon and Byakuya also moving some of his white hair out of his face seeing that they were the only two in the room left him wondering where was everyone else he had left his squad to Nemu for the time being telling her to be rather alert. Not really wanting this moment to be awkward he gave a little wave to Soifon and Byakuya and then started to being a little small talk So what are you guys doing here rather early...the meeting isn't til a few more minutes from now I figured you might be on time... Soren not being good at small talk sighed rather and looked for a place to stand perhaps against a wall or something.

(Kuchiki, you aren't acting at all like Kuchiki. Do it right, you're a disgrace. Tsk, tsk.)

The echoes of sandals clattering against the wooden floor were perceived by the ears of the three within the chamber of where the Captain's Meeting would take place. Approaching from the exterior, the petite Captain made his appearance. It was ironic, wasn't it? History has always described the Captain of the 11th division always or mostly being a Giant. But here, a petite man or boy in appearance, took charge as the Captain of the 11th. Quite the funny situation it was.

The Captain's arms were erected above his head as he extended the limbs, his fingers interlocked. He cocked his head to the side and then to the other, as he attempted to stretch the muscle responsible for flexing and rotating the head. He brought his palm(s) down to the back of his head, arching his elbows so they were now in the lateral and medial view. His gaze fell upon the three who stood in the room. One seemed to have just arrived and began to speak. The other Captain, Kuchiki Byakuya, one of the oldest living Captain in Seireitei at the moment was stayed put leaning on a wall. What a shame, wasn't it? And to think he had respected the Captain!

The Captain's meeting place was a place in which critic information was being given out to the Captains. It wasn't a place known for slacking nor greetings. There wasn't such time for that, it would only delay the pace at which the meeting would go by, which would mean they would have to wait an unneeded extra time. Now you see, the Captain of the 11th was hyped up about the Captain's Meeting. Why you may wonder? Well, when the Captain Commander requested for a Captains Meeting, it normally had something to do with battles. As a Captain of the 11th division, the most blood-thirsty and gruesome division of all, the Captain was known for his likening of battle. He enjoyed battle greatly. It seemed even kids had become blood-seeking monsters. What a world this was becoming.

He exhaled before inhaling, his arms dropping down to his side. He entered the room and took his position. He simply stood put, a couple steps away from the Captain Commander and also to the left of the Commander. His violet hair draped over his forehead as he looked below, adjusting his Captain's robe and Haori. His right palm clasped the handle of his Zanpakutou just for the simple reason of being cautious. After all, one never knew the true intentions of his so-called allies. He awaited for the rest of the Captain's to make their appearance. His eyes were fixed on whatever was before him, as thoughts clouded his mind. This didn't mean he wasn't aware of his surroundings. Think of it as... multitasking.

Captain Unohana entered the room smiling. She nodded to the captains already in attendance and tried to infuse a healthy atmosphere into the room... Although overcoming the gloom was a daunting task. She had been tending the ill at the squad 4 relief station when she had gotten her summons and quickly moved to obey them.

Her staff was quite capable of dealing with the minor injuries received from the shinigami sparring with each other... This will be a good experience for them, allowing to grow in their abilities as healers... Captain Unohana was happy, and not just for her own division. They were all trying to improve their skills for the upcoming fight, putting their all into defending the Soul Society. Even though the days looked grim, she couldn't help but be happy for the effort they were putting in, and to take pride in their success.

Captain Unohana quietly took her place, patiently waiting for the others to arrive...

Shunsui slowly walked into the room looking around his gray eyes studying everyone for a moment before a friendly smile comes on his face. He raises a hand waving to the captains before heading over and taking his place at the Squad 8 area. He took his sakkat off in respect and held it down near his side as he waited silently for the captain commander. A hand running through his long brown hair for a moment and his eyes closing.

Soon after the purple haired shinigami captain of the fifth walked into the meeting room. She tilted her head a bit curious as to what could cause the captains to gather together on such short notice. She took her spot at the fifth section of the line up like she always did when meetings such as this were called. She smiled and bowed to the other shinigami a look of pure innocence yet the eyes held much experience despite the innocent look.

Then, Kaname entered the room slowly walking down the row of captains that would most likely sneer and jeer at him. He ignored such threats however moving to stand next to the captain commanders chair prepared to tell everyone what is in the works when the captain commander asked him to. Those blind eyes look at Soi-Fon for just a moment before going back to staring at nothingness.

Finally, Jin entered the room heading up to the captain commanders chair and taking a seat. He closed his eyes awaiting the other captains of the other squads to arrive. He didn't wish to start without them, he took a moment to sigh and tap his fingers in agitation on the arm of the chair. He slowly opened his eyes taking note of the captains that were currently there and sighed a bit. He hated Lateness, and people were growing more slack by the moment.

Oh, what a beautiful day! Ukitake was walking along the streets of his division, humming to himself, when he got the news of the meeting. He hated to go inside on a day like today, but he knew he had to. He inwardly scolded himself for feeling that way. Meetings were important. They kept everything together and everyone informed about what was happening in the Soul Society. And this meeting, Ukitake realized, must be an important one since they had just had one a few days ago. He quickly walking into the meeting room and realized he was late. "Sorry I'm late!" he called to the head Captain who had arrived shortly before him. "It's just such a beautiful day and I lost track of time!" he made his way to the front of the room and stood next to Shunsui, smiling. "How is everyone today? Are you all enjoying this beautiful weather?" he looked around and his eyes widened when he saw Tousen. "Kaname... it's... nice to see you again." Ukitake didn't really know what to say, but he figured since Tousen was here, the man wasn't in any kind of trouble.

Kira yawned slightly as he walked into the 1st division building. Today he would attending his first captains meet since being promoted. Over his shingami robes he wore his old captains haori. The blond figured the meeting would most likely be about the pressing matter with the espada and vizard. Thinking of that he wondered how different it was from a vice captains.. On his way to the meeting room he saw some of the other captains. letting go small sigh he walked past them into the room. Soi fon was already in there ,so he bowed gently to her . And then wondered if he still had to that. Whatever he thought to himself with a sigh as he got in his spot and waited for the meeting to start. Another amount of air escaped the taichou ‘s mouth as he broadly stared at the wall across from him.

Soifon watched the others arrive one by one. She stood still, expression less, as the others filed in. She glanced at Tousen as he appeared, watching him intently. I wonder how he feels about all this, she mused. He can't be happy to be in a room filled with all the Captains, most of which probably hate him. Suddenly she felt sorry for the ex Captain. This was unlike her, and she definitely didn't like feeling this way. She sighed and turned away from Tousen to look at Jin. "I think everyone's here," she said. "Let's start the meeting."

Yuki looked up from her desk as she saw the little hell butterfly fly in through her window. She lifted up her finger to allow it to land and listened to the message. Her eyes widened slightly when she heard that there was a captain's meeting... right now! She immediately dropped her pen and stood up, grabbing her captain's haori on the way out the door, having taken it off because the annoying heat. This would be her first captain's meeting since her promotion, and she hadn't even met any of the captain's yet. I'm going to be late, what a great first impression.

Yuki arrived in front of the first division meeting room, and she could hear faintly someone from in the room saying "I think everyone's here, let's start the meeting". Taking a deep breath she pushed open the already closed doors. Most of the captain's looked up at her arrival and her eyes surveyed the room for a millisecond before she bowed respectfully to the room.

"Forgive me for my lateness." She then closed the doors and briskly walked to her place in the line. She must have been the last captain to arrive, because as she looked around she could see the captain's from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 12th and 13th divisions. As well as the captain's she also noticed a man who didn't wear any captain's clothes. Every man and his dog is here before me. She faced forward and awaited the start of the meeting.

(You're supposed to start the meeting Soifon... in case you did not know that.)

(No one told me that, but I will anyways since Jin isn't posting....)

Soifon sighed impatiently as Koori walked in, late. What was becoming of promptness? Why must so many be late? Did they not care about the Soul Society? Did their jobs mean nothing to them? Soifon shook her head. She couldn't understand why some of the captains couldn't arrive on time. In her opinion anyone who was late was not fit to hold the title "captain." Captains must care about how their lateness would affect others. But, alas, there was nothing Soifon could do about it. Just stand there and watch while the fools arrived tardy.

Soifon quickly glanced around the room. "A few are missing but I'm going to start the meeting whether they're here or not. This is not something we can afford to wait on." She didn't bother to look at Jin for approval, but moved from her palce with the other captains to stand by Jin. "As you can see, a traitor has returned." The raven haired captain pointed at Tousen, who was standing on the other side of Jin's chair. She paused for a minute to let this information sink in, and then continued. "There is a reason for that. We all thought the war with the Arrancar was over when Aizen was killed. But in fact, it was just beginning. This traitor," she pointed at Tousen, "has news about the Arrancar. News that will shock you all as it has shocked me. The Arrancar have selected a new leader to take Aizen's place, and they plan to attack both the Soul Society and Karakura town on the anniversary of Aizen's death. That, if you did not know, if coming up in a few weeks. As if this news wasn't bad enough, Kaname stated that the Vizard may help them."

Soifon's eyes narrowed and she took a deep breath. "We must stop them. We must get the Vizard to side with us or all may be lost." The petite captain looked around the room, locking eyes with each of the captains. "Are you ready to fight?"

Kaname listened to her for a moment before shaking his head. "There is more need in this then just are you ready to fight, its more along the lines of you MUST fight." He stepped down from beside Jin and looked between them all. "My advise is that you eradicate every living arrancar who had anything to do with Los Noches from the face of this earth. The only way for absolute peace is absolute eradication of the one thing that is driving peace away." He said with that suave voice of his.

Jin listened to her then to Kaname, a smirk coming to his lips as he shook his head. "I'm leaning towards Kaname's Idea...I'm no fan of Arrancar and this is well known. We let the Arrancar who lived go back and look where it got us. The more Arrancar we let go this time the more chances there are to turn back around and cause another rise of Hueco Mundo." He said coldly. "Except Nel perhaps...after all shes our ally."

Shunsui listened for a moment before sighing and shaking his head. "Havn't we tried the whole charge in and kill routine? Why can't we try deplomacy for once?" He says tapping his foot in annoyance. He had never been one to like fighting and it showed at this point in time. Though if the Captain Commander Ordered it then he'd do it, he had to, he was a captain after all. "Perhaps we could try to talk to the new leader, this new leader can't be to much like Aizen could they?" He said with a tip of his Sakkat.

Momo however was torn between the two decisions, if they eradicated the Arrancar would that make them any better then it would Aizen? But Jin had a point, the arrancar had been spared and they went straight back to hueco mundo and plotted the downfall of the Shinigami who had spared them. "Hm....The Captain Commander has a point but so does Captain Kyoraku...I'm split on this decision. If we eradicate them...what makes us any better then Aizen? And if we do not what stops them from turning around and backstabbing us?" She crossed her arms her eyes closing a bit in thought.

Soren looked at everyone else thinking quickly closing his eyes a slight 'hmm' noise going about they were right and Sieraku was with them and there was nothing he could do about that but eliminating every single Arrancar and Hollow sounding a bit strange they would be throwing off a balance which was set in before their time. On the other hand democracy sounded splendid if they all wanted to be betrayed and killed and that was not going to run past him he had to protect his squad as well as Sieraku as much as he could and besides not all of the Vizards were evil not Kurosaki nor Shinji and his gang hopefully.

Soren spoke in a rather gentle voice If you don't mind me saying but I believe we should try a democratic approach while building our forces getting ready for the war in case they decide to betray us. At the moment Soren had said "betray us." He shot a glance at Tousen he didn't care for for his vision of peace if you could call it that and he continued to speak.

Anyways I heard from a rather confused Arrancar that it seems Grimmjow and some other espada have broken alliances decreasing their forces while we may not be liked Grimmjow's group is small and maybe if we bring up some important facts he will forge a temporary alliance with us if that is decent sounding with you Captain Commander sir.

Time: an indefinite period. This continuum of experience made it possible for everything to be a process. Having the patience and waiting it out was all timing was about. The Captain Commander did not exercise patience. The beginning of her speech insinuated one in haste. A Captain's meeting meant the assembling of all Captains rather than the ones who showed. But on the contrary, the Captains absent were at fault. They should know better than take delight in being tardy.

A sly grin overwhelmed the Captain's face as he listened to current Captain Commander speak. He listened to the input of the other Captains and traitor. He shook his head, making a dental clicking sound. "Tut." He scanned the room, his gaze falling upon Kaname. He spoke in a teasing, bold tone: "Eradicate every living arrancar who had anything to do with Los Noches from the face of the earth you say? Ha ha... would you happen to be among these arrancars we are to 'eradicate'? After all, you did have something to do with Los Noches. And besides... I've been itching for a battle recently!" He would chuckle, applying pressure to the shaft of Hikari, he would jerk forward slightly with his right palm.

"I got no problem with killing anyone and everyone...!" he trailed off, exclaiming. "That is... who stands in our way. We never pardoned Rukia for her error. Why pardon this punk?"

The attack would come that soon? She sighed to herself... Would they be ready for what was to come? She stood silently, showing no sign of the emotional turmoil occurring beneath the surface of her calm, cool exterior.

"I know that we will all do our best! My squad of course will tend to all the wounded as always." She smiled to ease her own personal tension.
