Five hundred years after the creation of the shinigami academy, the Soul Society has its first captains defending the humans from the evil hollows. But, a new threat has occurred out of nowhere. These... hollows that are so powerful, they rival that of the captains. And these... hollowfied shinigami that are of at least lieutenant level. What could be the cause? Some disease that cause hollowfication and shinigamification? Or is it some evil ploy of the Research and Development that went horribly wrong?

Probably both.

Years before Ichigo and Aizen, there was the same controversy. It was hidden to prevent the captains from rebelling and causing catastrophic events. Let's just hope a captain doesn't defect.
