UNITED IN CHAOSEarth's mightiest heroes managed to put an end to the evil of the Black Lanterns Corp setting the world back into order. The next year was a time of peace and reconstruction with the occasional villain being put in his/her place, business as usual. But soon, the world was shook by another great evil, an old foe that hadn't been seen for a long time. The last time he showed up, countless lives were lost in the effort to stop his destructive trail. This incredible force of nature was none other than the terrible, Anti-Monitor. A call was sent out through all of Earth for the heroes to gather once again to put an end to this foul creature.
Needless to say, the conflict was brutal with the heroes and general public taking heavy casualties. With all hope nearly gone, the planet's villains decided to help out their enemies. The combined effort of nearly every hero and villain was enough to push back Anti-Monitor. The powerful Dr. Fate had a plan to cast a powerful spell that would finally put an end to this threat once and for all. But something that he nor anyone else planned for was happening simultaneously in another universe, similar to their own.
The infamous Dr. Doom had used his dark arts to take over the mind of young Franklin Richards. He used the boy to shape the world as he he saw fit, making it in his own image. The heroes gathered, with the Fantastic Four leading, to combat Doom and free the boy. The battle was of epic proportions with Doom having a near endless supply of power under his control. Lives were lost, countries were destroyed. There seemed to be no end to this, until Doctor Voodoo stepped in to the fray.
Using his mystical powers, he ripped the control over young Franklin from Doom's grasp. But the trauma involved with this was simply too much for the boy to handle. Combined with the grief of seeing so many of his friends dead, his mind snapped and his powers were unleashed completely. At that moment in another universe, Dr. Fate was implementing his attack on Anti-Monitor, but something went wrong. The creature used his powers to try and break apart Fate. This resulted in the good doctor loosing control over the spell and his powers creating a rip in their universe.
This rip allowed the uncontrollable powers of Franklin Richards to spill over into the other universe resulting in a merger of powers. Two universes had now become one, but at a price. Everything was reset. There had been no Black Lanterns or Anti-Monitor or Civil War or Secret Invasioin. It has become as if these places have been coexisting as one for all of time. This is where YOU the player comes in.
The two universes as one has altered the fate of many heroes and villains, causing entire stories to be rewritten in some cases as new faces put old ones on a new and different path. Maybe some heroes have become villains, and the villians become heroes, what remains constant is the fact that there are new destinies being woven, and all of them are united in the chaos.
