A small shopping trip

Kurai begain walking from her home planning to go to the small shop afew blocks away wanting to get some kitty food. As she turned on one street a small white head with long ears poked it's head out of the open side bag that hung on her waist. She looked down & giggled slighty, "Haru.. This was supposed to be for you. Why did you want to come with me?" Haru looked to her abit confused then stuck his tounge out at her followed by him pulling his head back into the bag. Kurai zipped it up slightly but enough for him to breath knowing that something bad would probally happen if the shop keeper saw him.

Kurai turned on another street now seeing the small shop in the distance. She smiled softly as she continued to walk untill the was halfway there. She poked the bag saying, "Haru, you better not come out of this bag while I'm in here." Allthough it looked like she was talking to the bag, she was talking to her cat. & in reply he mewed softly as if saying, 'Yes'. As she walked to the door she pushed open the door then walked inside walking down afew isles looking for the cat food. As she walked down the isle she found a small bag of cat food. She smiled gently picking it up then walking up to the counter seeing that no one was there.

"Hello..?" She called out hopeing for a reply. She wasn't sure if anybody was there.

A couple seconds later Kira entered the shop in a gigai. Wearing black tight jeans and short sleeved shirt with a fox on it. The blond bit his lip slightly as he shut the door behind him. The purpose of the blonds visit today was a list of supplies he had brought with him. He was not to thrilled to being wearing a gigai , because you didn’t need one in Uarahara's shop. But he wasn't buying she shingami items today so he had to. Izu took his list out his pants pocket with a sigh. before getting the thing he needed of the nearest shelf which happened to be some tea bags. The next item up on the list was some more loose leaf paper for his desk. This paper was so he could right his haiku when he felt like it. The finally thing on his list was ink to right with. After grabbing that he grabbed a box of pocky , because he had skipped lunch that day.

Kira stood behind a girl infront of the counter and waited patiently. Wondering were the shopkeepers were today , because he couldn’t sense their pressure. he hoped they weren't to far because he had some paper work left to do in his office. The blond's blue orbs went to the girl bag as he moved. A blond zig zagged eye brow raised at the bag when he heard it mew in pleasure. Kira wondered if he should be scared that a bag was making noises like that. Deicing that it was rude to stare he looked down at his pocky bottle and pretended to read. But that was short lived , because there wasn’t enough to read on those things. So , next the blond deiced to stare at the back wall behind the counter.

Kurai was standing there beging to tap her finger nails on the counter abit tired of waiting. As she did this she heard a slight Mew from her bag. She turned her head slightly to see a blond male behind her looking to her bag then to the box of candy that he held in his hands & then turned back to the counter shivering slightly as she pulled her side bag in front of her legs & opened it. After she did this she flicked her cat's nose slightly from mewing & looked back to the counter continueing to shiver. 'What is this that I am feeling..?!' She thought in her head.

her eyes opened then abit shocked as she remembered the same feeling that hit her when she was to use her rose trick & clone trick. She shook her head slightly reaching into her bag & pulling out a grain bar surptissed to see it half-eatten. She huffed slightly seeing this & hit the side of her bag abit roughly then nibbleing on what was left of it waiting for the shopkeeper to appear at any second.

Kira's eyes causally went back to the girl when she opened the bag. He heard another mew that was silenced by the girl putting her figure in the bag. The blond figured their had to be something alive in the bag. Because the girl had pulled out and have eaten bar of some sort. Curiously the blond vice captain took a step closer to them. Sighing slightly he tried to sense the shop keepers presence near by. But so far he was having no luck finding anyone but himself and the girl standing in front a of him. Kira was beginning to get bored standing their for this long. And he hoped that the shop keeper wasn't masking his pressure , so he could take a nap. Another loud pleasured mew came from the bag. Before the zipper began un zipping from the inside.

Kira raised his zig zagged eye brow at it curiously , and watched little ears poke out of the bag. Soon a whole cats head popped out the bag , before it jumped out. Izu blinked at it a couples as he began walking toward him. Next he eyes went to the girl who was nibbling on her weird bar. The blond then wondered if the girl had noticed her cat had escaped from her bag. Zu made a confused face when he felt something rubbing against his leg. Looking away from the girl he saw her cat purring on his leg. Keeping a straight face he crouched down to pet the little cat. Hoping the girl would not get made at him for touching her pet.

Kurai continued to nibble on her small food bar untill she heard some loud purring from behind her. She turned her head to her cat & the blond male who was petting him. She gasped slightly seeing how he might have gotten out of her bag without noticeing. She bent down slightly & began strokeing it's back fur begining to say in a soft tone, "I'm sorry, he usually comes with me everywhere, even if I don't want him to. I actually ment to keep him home while I came here.."

She kept her voice down because of the shivers quickly running up her spine. The closer she got to the male, the more this feeling bothered her. She sighed gently placeing her hand to the side & allowing the male to continueing to pet her cat as she continued, "His name is Haru, Haru hana. &, I'm Kurai." She laughed slightly trying to remove the feeling from her as she continued, "He allways acts like this to try to get me more, open..." At that time Haru looked up to her & mewed lightly in agreement as he continued to rub his head on the male's leg as the small bell that hung slightly from his ear made a slight chinging sound.

Kira heard some footsteps coming closer to him and the friendly cat. He figured it was the cats owner that had noticed the cat had escaped by now. The cat mew once more at him and then again when his owner came close. Kira's then went up to the girl when she stared petting the cat's back. "its don't worry about it isn’t a problem i like animals" He said to the girl calmly as he petted the cats head a little more. Kira heard the girl introduce the cat and her self and wondered if he should give his real name to her. He thought about it for a couple seconds and figured it would cause no harm. She was human so he she probably have no knowledge of the soul society.

" Nice to meet you Kurai hand Haru" he said to the both of them as the cat mewed when it heard its name. Kira watched the cat look to its owner when she spoke again to him. Buy the girl's line the blond figured that they girl most be shy normally. So , far he didn’t not see that in her , but he figured that was because the cat was there. So maybe having the cat with her made a her a little braver. " He's pretty helpful then isn’t he?" he asked the girl , as he eyes went back to the cat for a moment.

Haru mewwed happly as the male said his & Kurai's name. Kurai smiled gently & replyed placeing a hand on her head looking as if she was rubbing it, whenever she was actually rubbing the red rose that sat in her hair un-seen & trying to compare it to the male, "Yes he is, & he has a great personality when it comes to meeting new people & helps me meet new people also." As she took her hand from her hair she felt a slight tingle on her index finger to see it bleeding from the rose's thorns. She quickly placed her thumb over the cut trying to hide it.

"I might have to get going home if the shopkeeper does not come soon, my grandmother will get abit worryed if I'm out after dark without telling her." She smiled softly turning her head to the counter again not seeing anyone just yet, ehen she looked out was out the windows of the store. The sun was about 25 minuntes untill setting, & it took her a half of that time to get home by walking. She sighed lightly & sat down on her lower legs trying to hold a fake smile on her lips & holding back the urge to walk away from the feeling that she felt from the male.

Kira blinked a couple times when he saw the girls finger start to bleed. His then wondered to the rose in the girls hair and then back to her face. He wondered if he should say anything about it to her, because she seemed very anxious to hide it from him. Probably because she did not want to worry him or make a scene. He didn't see any band aids close by so he deiced to ignore it too. If it goes worse he deiced that he would worry about it then. Kira looked behind him out side when the girl started talking about going home. Darkness was setting really fast outside the small. It was the prefect time for hollows to come out and pray on people and souls. That was not a good time of night for young girls to be wondering by herself.

Kira looked back at the girl and stood up to his full height. The cat mewed lightly at him as if it was saying do get at please. Feeling something in the far distance he deiced that he better take the girl home. And hoped she doesn’t live in the direction of the pressure. His looked back at the light haired girl once more. " How bout I walk you home? You never know what outs there at night.” He offered calmly with a light sigh escaping his lips. He knew the girl and him had just met ,so it was kind of weird for him to walk her home. But he was doing his job protecting her now ,because he felt a hollows presence far in the distance.

Kurai sighed softly looking back to thewindow & wondering what to do. She quickly turned hearing him shift then seeing him stand up. She smiled softly & nodded her head abit then placeing a hand on the ground picking herself up. She put herself in a squatting position & picked up Haru then stood up fully afterwards. "That would be fine, but, what about our shopping items..?" Kurai thought after dinner she could try to sneak Haru some of the leftovers, but grammy would allways catch her & lecture her about that one reason that she allways gos on about. 'Because there not human.' She thought in her head.

After she did this she looked back to the window noticeing a almost same energy to the males & placed Haru back in the small bag that hung from her side. "Now, please stay in here this time & I owe you big time Haru.." Haru mewed softly in reply as she zipped it up almost all of the way. She looked back out the window barely smileing but somehow able to keep the corners of her lips up. She was not happy, but abit afraid that they might run into the thing that she sences.

Kira looked to the corner when the girl asked about there item. Biting his lips slightly he walked over to the counter . And then pulled out a sheet of his stationary paper and a pen. On the sheet of paper he wrote : This is some money for some items that I needed. There is also some money here for some Items some that was with me bought. Sincerely, Izuru Kira. After signing it he stuck the note to the counter and then stuck his hand into his pocket. And pulled a large wade of human world money and counted it out to a reasonable amount. Before replacing the extra amount of human world money back in the pocket of his tight black jeans. Once his head was out of his pocket he turned to look at the girl and her cat once more.

" That should take care of that . I uh know the guy some he wont mind. "He informed her in a calm tone as he watched the girl replace her cat in her bag. Kira waited for the to finishing speaking to her cat before walking over to the door. Upon reaching the door his slid it open and looked back at the girl. '' Well we should get uh going so we don’t catch the crazies." The blond said in a unsure tone of voice. As he felt the hollow's presence a little closer that it was before. Oh Crap he thought to himself as he looked out side and then back at the girl. Hoping that she would hurry up ,so they could avoid not meeting a hollow.

Kurai turned her head alightly watching the male do this & nodded her head slightly still abit zoned out from the feeling. She turned around & picked up the small bag of cat food then begining to walk to the door abit zoned out. She shook her head lightly walking from the store as her cat jumped acouple times in the bag then began shakeing. She reached in her bag & began petting the shakeing cat saying to the male, "It's to the right of the store. Only afew blocks away."

She took her hand from the bag sighing softly & zipped it back up to where he can still breath. She turned slightly on her right heal to the right & began walking in a slow pace looking to the sky & wondering what she felt, & what it could do. She knew the feeling was related to her rose whip, so it must be able to attack. But this feeling was much stronger than she would feel when useing her powers. After afew second of this she turned her head slightly to the male waiting for him to catch up.

Izuru was glad that the girl's house was only a couple blocks away. But the hollow's spiritual pressure seemed to be getting closer by the moment. If it reached them he would have to get out his gigai and fight it off. Even if it meant the girl realizing he was a shingami if she even knew what that was. If that happened he hoped she would not be able to see him. The blond to the sky for a moment and made a face. before picking up his own bag and exiting the shop and shutting the door behind himself. After hearing the sound of the door he turned to look in the direction of the girl. her cat seemed to be restless in her bag ,so Izu wondered if the cat could feel the hollow coming closer each moment. Kira knew there were other shingami station from his squad at other parts of the town.

So, he hoped that they hollow would go into one of their sectors. So far it that wish wasn’t coming true for the lazy blond. It was coming deeper and deeper into the section of the town that he assigned himself at the start of the mission. Kira let go a bored sigh and caught up with girl. Wondering if he should make up a story about hearing a mugger near by to cover up for the hollow that was only a mile away. Kira made a face and told himself that was stupid idea and that he would deal with it when the hollow came their way. His eyes looked to the girl and he nodded as a signal for them to move on. "Uh lets go" he added calmly sounding kind of worried about something.

Kurai sighed slightly waiting for him to come & nodded her head softly in reply as she turned on her heel & began walking abit slower now waiting for him to catch up then picking up her pace when he was becide her. She wanted to look to the sky, but for some strage reason felt it not safe to. She sighed softly takeing her hand from petting the cat & reached inside her hair takeing the red rose from it than placeing it under her nose allowing the sweet aroma to come up her nostrils to keep her calm.

After this she allowed her arm to drop to her side still holding the rose in that hand, but still feeling un easy. She sighed softly massageing her right temple with her free hand then the other. Nothing would work to keep her calm. She began shakeing softly feeling the thing come closer with every second. She wanted to run, but was afraid of that catching it's attenction. But if she ran she could have a better chance of getting out of it's sight. She shook her head lightly picking up her pace looking to the ground.

Kira watched the girl with a calm expression on his face. He noticed that the cat seemed a little restless still even though the girl had petted it for so long. The girl then began smelling a rose that she previous had in her hair. It was also the object that she had previous injured herself on. Kira couldn’t help but notice the girl uneasiness. The girl seemed to sensing something around them that was making her feel uncomfortable. So , He wondered if she and the kitten could feel the hollow coming closer to them by the second. Izu a couple times when he heard a loud screech coming from a spot behind. Next he heard a long hissing sound coming from the girl's bag.


The blond turned to look behind him and saw and large hollow standing before him. The creature looked hungry and it was eying the girl and her cat. " Stay behind me” He said calmly to her. Wondering if it was safe to get out of his gigai to fight in front of the her. The girl and the furry little animal seemed to be uneasy so they must feel the hollow. So he wondered if they could also see the beast. He needed to find out before doing so ,so he had to ask. " Can you see a bug creature standing before me?” He asked with a serious expressing on his face. As the hollow let another battle cry escape through its lungs to try and scare them as he waited for a moment to attack.

Kurai continued looking to the ground as she tryed to come up with an idea to calm herself untill she heard Haru hiss from inside he bag. Kurai turned around & almost choked on air when she saw the large creature standing before them. She nodded her head slightly not able to make words to come from her mouth to answer the male the first time. She then nodded a second time then make a small squeek sound excape from her mouth.

Not knowing what she was doing the plants & weeds around the area began growing rapidly around them every second as she held her fists clenched. As she clenched her fists tighter her nails began digging into her skin & causeing blood to drip from the center of her palm & out from the cracks of her fingers. She jumped slightly hearing it screatch again & looked at the male, 'Is he trying to protect me?' She thought in her mind abit uneasy. If anything was ready to happen she was going to end up useing her rose or anything else around her. The last thing she wanted was someone she just met to get hurt.

Kira took the girl's scared nods as a hint that she saw the creature. That was eying the three of them like they were a tasty meal with mustard sauce. the blond put an annoyed face upon his lips. he was bumped that he had to revile himself to the girl and her cat. But he knew that he had to be done to save her from the bug hollow. After letting go another sigh he reached into the pocket of his tight jeans and pulled out a small pill. Quickly he popped it into his mouth and his soul was popped out of the gigai reviling his shingami form. After he was out his gigai slumped to the floor , before getting into the fetal position. Kira looked back at it for second hoping the girl would not panic over seeing it do that.

The hollow let go another loud growl before attempting to hit him. Kira dodge it quickly and pulled out his kantna. " Raise your head Wabisuke" The blond shouted out as he sword formed into a hook. The bug let another cry and began flapping its wings angrily before going the girl. Kira eyes widen as he flash step before the beast and two a slash at it. The beast growled and backed up holding his arms in pain. The blonds eyes jet to look at the girl for second. When he heard the girl's cat hissed angrily in the bag while it scratched at the inside.

Kurai continued to stare at the creature then quickly changed glances to the male when he shifted forms. Opening her eyes abit she took a step back then noticeing how the male slashed at it with his hook-like sword. She quickly turned to Haru hissing & scratching from inside her bag as he then poked his head from it. She quickly bit at the rose that lay clenched in her bloody hand then jumped from the bag faceing the creature. Kurai quickly understood & took off her side bag then placeing it to the side of her looking to the creture & standing becide Haru.

She held out the arm with the rose in it out streight from the side of her closeing her eyes & consentrateing into it. "Rose whip!" She called out as the rose began to glow a light golden color than turning into a green whip with many thick thorns on it as the bottom of it curled around the area where she stood. Jumping forward after this running towards the creature she notices it lashing out at her as she side steps becide it then swings her foot hitting it upside it's odd head knocking it forward abit.

As this happened she saw it try to lash it's arm backwards at her and she quickly reacted & swung her whip at it cutting off the arm which was swung at her then quickly jumped back hearing it screatch with pain not knowing if she should continue.

Kira's eyes went back to the monster holding its slashed arm. Before making a face when he heard the girl shot something. Next the girl tried to attack the bug beast with something that resemble a whip of thorns. Now the vice captain knew why she could see him and the hollow attacking him. She had powers like the ryoka who attacked the soul society so many years ago. Kira was impressed that the girl had slashed its arm off. The beast growled in arm ,quickly grew back its arm. The blond face went to a depressed face at this sight. Great he thought sarcastically to himself. Before letting go a small annoyed sigh.

When the beast was done regenerating it growled and went for the blond. Keeping his annoyed expression he used the hook of his sword to cut of its arm again. This things a big baby the vice captain thought to himself and he watched the thing howl in pain again. Not wanting to hear it cry anymore he jumped at it. The beast spotted him and tried to swat him away with its uninjured arm. Kira blinked at it before flash stepping out of the way. Causing the monster to whacked its self in the head with its large arms. Kira remained emotionless non the less and just thought to himself how dumb the creature was.

Appearing behind the creature the creature focus the focus on the girl. It growled at her before raising its fist at her. Kira made a face and slid his swords hook under the hollow throat. He kept there for and couple seconds before pulling his sword the back. Still looking un caring he watched the monsters head fall. Before its remains disappeared in to the abyss. Letting a small sigh he flash stepped to the girls side.

Kurai siged gently landing on the ground & looked back to the beast holding what was left of it's arm. She growled slightly seeing it re generate it's arm. Seeing it growl lowly to the blond she bit her lip from growling back. She sighed softly dropping her arm to the side looking to Haru who was jumping up many times mewing happly as if cheering on the male. She smiled gently seeing this then noticeing the plants growing out of control. She was not very sure what to do, this never happened before.

Feeling eyes on her she picked up her head from looking to the ground & to the creature & snickered lightly seeing it's head cut off then wondering where it's body went. As she thought this the whip glowed a light gold then reaturned to it's original form. She turned her head slightly seeing the male becide her & wondered why his personality changed all of a sudden. Once she got her mind cleared by this she looked to the male not sure if she should stay.

She had just used her whip in front of him, & was not sure if it was safe anymore, or if it ever was. She laughed slightly & nervosly placeing the rose in her hair again then begining to rub the back of her head with her bloody hand as she bent over to pick up Haru "Umm.. I cannot feel it anymore.." She then went to pick up her bag then placed Haru in it followed by her placeing the strap on her sholder, "So.. I'm going to walk home now.. Ok..?" Saying this nervosly she picked up the small bag of cat food & quickly turned on her heel begining to walk away hopeing that this would never happen again.

Kira looked to the girl when she told him that she could not feel it anymore. Alot of people would tell her well duh it dead. The blond vice captain wasn’t going to do that sort of thing because it wasn’t in his nature. Plus it was as very rude thing to say to someone that you just met. Because they could easily take it the wrong way and think your trying to be a jerk or something. Instead a small escaped his lips as he gave a quick flick of his sword. Which turned it back to it sealed form , before putting it back in the holder. " Its dead now don't worry about it.” he told the girl calmly while wondering if it would be stupid to get back in his gigai. because the girl now new what he was , so there probably want a reason to. But then again he needed it to carry his supplies home.

After getting back his gigai he got up off the floor. While he was fighting his gigai had deiced to go emo on him and lie on the floor. Kira never got why it did that so he made a face in his thoughts. As he dusted some dust off his pants , before looking back at they girl. The girl seemed scared when she said her next words to him. Kira flashed an annoyed looked her way thinking great she think I’m a freak. " Ill continue to walk you home if you what just in case. Unless you are afraid of me." he said lessening his expression back to his usual bored one.

Kurai continued to walk untill she heard the male's voice abit calm even though what had happened. She sighed gently & turned her body half way to where she could see him with on eye. She silently watched him lay on the ground as she heard a loud purring from her bag. She opened it slightly to see Haru asleep after all of the excitement. She reached her hand into the bag strokeing the cat's soft fur with her index & middle fingers then takeing her hand out allowing to sleep as she zipped it up abit. She turned around completely now hearing the male speek again "Oh, no, that's not it.. You saved my life, & I thank you for that, I'm not afraid of you, I'm just abit afraid if there are more of those creatures around..."

She then looked to the sky wondering what she would do if that was to ever happen again. Feeling abit of pain on her palm she lookes down to it seeing blood run down her fingers & drip onto the ground every few seconds. Sighing gently after she held the bag's strap in her mouth & dug in her bag with her index & middle fingers keeping her hands tight not to let blood out then bulling out some guase wrap. She began to wrap it around her hands now letting her mind wander off then remembered something "Oh, & by the way.. What is your name? I cannot just call you, sir or anything else but your name." Still wrapping her hand after this she continues to look down to her hands waiting for a reply from the male.

Kira watched the girl pet the purring cat sleeping in the bag after the battle. He was glad to her that she wasn't afraid of him after the hollow attack. " Your welcome its my job.” he told her calmly before letting out a small sigh. He hated to break the news to her about the hollows, but there was more of them out there. Since the girl could see them and other sprits she was bound to run it to more. The girl had powers ,so the hollows would want to attack her to eat her spiritual pressure. The blond his lips slightly and looked to the ground for a moment and then back at the girl. " I wish I could tell you that was the only one. But with your abilities you most likely to run into more." He informed sounding very depressed with himself for telling her.

Seconds later he noticed something wrong with her palm. He then let go a small annoyed sigh when he saw that she was trying to hide it from. The blond knew some healing kido ,so he figure it couldn’t hurt to help the girl out just a little more. " Let me help you with that” he told her as he grabbed her wrist. Soon his free hand grew a light green light when he held it over her arm. " There you go, and I'm Izuru" he told her when he was done healing up her. He then released her and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his gigai 's tight black jeans.

Kurai sighed softly continueing to wrap her palms begining to feel abit calmer & knowing it when the weeds began growing back into place. She did not know exactly how she did it, but she thought it had to be controlled by her feelings; untill she heard the male say that there was more out there. She allready knew that just watching him kill it. It was obveious that he had fought more over his time. She gasped slightly when she felt him grasp her wrists. She wasn't sure what he was doing untill the pain began to dim then dissapear.

Afterwards she began pulling off her bandages to see no cuts or open wounds. She sighed softly hearing him tell her his name as she began placeing the bandages back in her bag becide Haru then closeing it slightly "It's nice to meet you Izuru.. & I have to thank you again, for what you have done for me; is there anyway I could repay you..?" she offered not sure of what she could do to help him, but wanted to offer anyway.

Izuru watched the girl look a little uneasy and surprised at what he had done. He knew she would act that way because she was human, so he wasn’t surprised. Keeping an serious expression he watched her put her bandages in to her bag. Where he friendly little cat was sleeping curled up in the fluffy looking ball. The girls next words kind of stumped the blond shingami. He was glad that she was thankful for havinh im save her from the hollow. But he had one that many times for souls and humans alike. He wans't really suppose to get something in return from them. At least that’s what he was taught about the service. He didnt want to seem mean to the girl , but that’s just the way it was.

" Your welcome. You don’t have pay me backs its ok. As long as your uh alright." He said calmly to her as he remove his hands from his pockets.

She sighed gently after closeing the bag & looked behind her at the weeds to make sure they were not growing anymore. Afterwards the looked to the sky feeling abit diffrant than how she did when she woke up that morning. She did not know what it was that made her feel this way, but still, she wanted to find out. She turned her head slightly to the male who had spoke to her then streightened her neck looking to him fully smileing softly.

"I understand. But I still think I need to repay you." She said laughing slightly then continueing, "But, I think we should get going if we don't want to run into one of those again." she thought the way she was acting was completely diffrant than how she felt. Still smileing she turned her body around then turned her head slightly looking to the male waiting for him to begin walking also.
