- Laid Back: Rekkan takes the world lightly, not really giving a damn about things that have nothing to do with him or people he is acquainted with. The Shinigami prefers to spend his time doing nothing, enjoying a good afternoon laying on his couch and staring at the ceiling or taking a nice nap. He doesn't get taken away by emotions and his speech is always calm and passive, sometimes words coming out in the form of whispers because he really can't speak up. His whole body's muscles are never actually tense, not even in cracked up situation that requires the utmost concentration. Although one thinks he is a distracted fellow, it's really his regular way of acting.

- Critical Thinker: Another trait of Rekkan's personality is his ability to think fast and well in important situations. Due to his wide imagination, the Shinigami is able to think about multiple reactions to perform against an action executed against him. Although his face's expression never changes from that blank and relaxed form, the glitter in his eyes is the hint that shows that his mind is working.

- Day Dreamer: Although a day dreamer is defined as a distracted person, Rekkan is the opposite. His day dreaming works together with his current situation. It is because of this trait that the Shinigami is able to create and coordinate multiple reactions and choose the most suited for the situation at hand. He has a deep level of imagination and is almost able to control at its fullest without the use of his Zanpakuto. However, his imagination does not gain substance in Rekkan's reality without the First Release.

- Lover: Rekkan is a flirter. He enjoys women and does anything for them to enjoy him. In his own words: "Women are magical creatures that should not be underestimated. Their powers are far beyond those of a man." His idea is to protect this "creature" in the plural form. He has been seen jumping into battle, not because it is required, but to protect a woman. That is why he likes to think of himself as a gentleman and a "knight".

- Poet: Rekkan does not use words, but actions. His own movements, whether in battle or in any other situation, narrate the path of his life and emotions that are well hidden in his relaxed behavior. The way he touches and sees is to be studied for he keeps writing in a constant manner, it being with his swords on an opponent's flesh, or his lips on a woman's body.

Story

Life

- So, how to explain the life of Rekkan? One would have to dig deep into the man's soul to actually find out what motivated him to be what he was in the living world before dying. Like the famous painter Salvador Dali, Rekkan was influenced by substances when he performed his art: writing. However, those substances were neither alcohol nor drugs, something far more tripping. It is said that when upon death, a human's brain releases some kind of toxin, but as I am no scientist and didn't really want to check more on the information, I'll just say it gives you the greatest "trip" ever. I won't go into much detail in the life of Rekkan because; apart from his many near death experiences - which he forced to happen - there is not much to tell. The soon to be Shinigami lived by the limit. He could spend one day free in the streets while in the next one he'd be laying on a hospital's bed getting treatment. Running in front of moving cars, having electrical discharges running through his body to get him to the other side... That was the way Rekkan gained Inspiration. His imagination, ever since a young age, was close to unlimited, if not actually endless. Over the course of the years he was able to alter his perception upon the world, creating and reshaping objects and animals to his liking. Have you ever seen a blue dog? Rekkan did... He basically altered the reality he saw and loved it. People who got to know him so well always thought he was mentally ill. And was he not? Maybe... That is something one won't find out so easily. So, due to his lifestyle, everyone took Rekkan's short life for granted. They couldn't be more right. With the age of 21, the man died. And how did he die, you might ask? Well, his soul was released from the prison that was his body in the final and greatest experience ever: "Flying". Rekkan jumped off a cliff, feeling the wind blow on his body before falling hard on the water of the sea, which dragged him to the bottom.

Death

- A dead wanderer in the living world, Rekkan saw his solitude as nothing more but a temporary obstacle. He was quite acquainted with his imagination, so there was no harm done. The young soul was soon aware of the dangers that lurked in the shadows. He soon got to know Hollows and learn how to avoid them. Sadly enough, things began to get tougher. Maybe they were the vessels that would take Rekkan to the Other World? He didn't know much about the After Life and what seemed to be monsters could actually be his "gatekeepers" or how the hell you wish to call them. So, one day, not far from the time he died, Rekkan stood still as a Hollow approached him. Not actually being concerned with what awaited him and if it hurt, the soul simply stared at the monster as it came to consume him. Alas, that did not happen. A man wearing black appeared and denied Rekkan of his fate. Even though he was slightly surprised and deeply intrigued with the appearance of this odd character, the soul did not show it. Its blank expression still ruled over his face, although a very gentle smile began to grow from it. The "Shinigami", or Death God, explained to Rekkan what he was and what he did. A very nice Shinigami, something that Rekkan would find rare. He was then taken to the Rokungai by the Shinigami, who felt a certain potential coming from the released soul. While Rekkan was still unable to join the Shinigami Academy, he was trained by his Shinigami friend when this one was available. Shinigami do have vacations, right? If not, let's make this an exception.

Shinigami

- And so, after years of training, the soul known as Akume no Rekkan entered the Shinigami Academy. He was looked down by the other recruits due to his laid back personality, sometimes even neglecting to pay attention to classes, writing his own words or simply taking a nap in the middle of them. He was lectured for many times, but it didn't bother him. Rekkan lived how he wanted, and doing nothing was the best thing to do in his opinion, besides the most pleasurable things in life like sex... Eating... Sleeping...

In any case, in the final exam, Rekkan surprised all. Somehow, he had acquired the needed level of experience and knowledge to pass and become a full-fledged Shinigami. He became a part of the ____ Division. Not the best of places to be because... Well... They did stuff... And this particular Shinigami didn't like to do stuff. And we are now at the present time... Where he became a rogue and started killing and slaying everyone to attain a Captain Level Reiatsu and join some cool friends of his.




ZANPAKUTO

Sealed Description: It's a katana.

Release Phase: "Nemuri" (Sleep)
Manifestation: Hakunetsu is a beautiful nude woman with white snow skin and black long hair that stretches a few inches after her shoulders. She has scarlet eyes and is rarely seen with clothes by Rekkan, the rare occasions being those in which she has a silk coat covering her body from the waist to the knees.

Shikai Description: It's a katana.
Shikai Special Ability: The ability itself does NOT affect anyone BUT the user. The techniques unlocked in this ability are the ones that can affect the other beings' perception. Hakunetsu's illusions in Shikai affect nothing else other than the eyesight. For the ability itself: In Shikai, Rekkan is able to shape reality and bend it to his own will, also being able to create inanimate objects and smaller beings with the power of his imagination. This is possible by the liquid that leaks from Hakunetsu's hilt and penetrates into Rekkan's body, travelling to his brain and enhancing the imagination of the Shinigami. There are rules, of course. Rekkan is able to change the form of things, but not the size. He can turn a house into an elephant, but it cannot move nor it can be bigger or smaller than the object which suffered its mutation. He CANNOT create human illusions. Only animals, monsters or inanimate objects. He can, for instance, imagine his opponent being sliced, although that does not occur. However, he can create the blood and the sword swing and then transfer it at the cost of Reiatsu. The transfer would make the created blood and sword swing come to reality and "happen", although they are mere illusions.

Name - Liquid Injection

' The liquid that Hakunetsu leaks in Shikai will be released on the blade of the Zanpakuto. Upon contact with the flesh of an opponent, the liquid will penetrate the wound the blade created and flow through the bloodstream of the target. This target will be affected by Rekkan's Shikai Ability for a determined amount of posts. Note that the liquid needs to penetrate the body through a bleeding wound. Also, the liquid released unto the blade is entirely sucked into the body, more liquid needing to be leaked towards the Zanpakuto's blade. The duration of the technique will only commence when the liquid enters the body. Its cooldown, however, will commence from the moment the liquid is leaked unto the blade. '

Bankai: It's a katana.

Bankai Special Ability: The Final Form of Hakunetsu improves its former abilities to an almost unlimited extent. In Bankai, the ability of Rekkan to visualize things do not only affect the Shinigami, but those that are caught in a certain radius of the Captain. While in Shikai Hakunetsu released a liquid from her hilt that was absorbed by Rekkan's body and transported to his brain, Bankai allows her to release that same liquid into the atmosphere at high speeds in the form of gas. The transparent gas covers an area in the form of a circle, reaching a diameter of one hundred meters. Those who enter that area or are found inside will be affected by Rekkan's alterations to reality, may it be changing the form of a building or replacing an object with another of the same size. Not only that, but Rekkan's powers at Final Form allow him to actually reshape things into the form of humans or create human or animal illusions. To escape the gas that is spread in Hakunetsu's Bankai, one would need to move away from the one hundred meters circle, but there is a catch. With Hakunetsu being the center of the circle, as long as it moves, the circle will move with the Zanpakuto.

Sidenotes: There is one requirement for Rekkan to enter Bankai. He must first activate Shikai before releasing Bankai. The reason why is because he must first enter the state of surreality that his Zanpakuto offers him before allowing others to do so. Call it being selfish, as the Captain does not like to "share".

' In Bankai, Rekkan is able to coordinate his very own ability with this offspring. By doing so, he can make others feel what is not there, like he can make them see what is not there. Hakunetsu's released vapors will allow Rekkan to make a target's mind believe a part of the body is being touched, either it be by any action of attack or care. The Shinigami is able to make one think their arms were ripped off due to the intense pain they have on their shoulder that, because of the technique, almost like if numbing their arm and acting like paralysis, although being nothing of the sort. The arm is still intact and can be used as normal, but because of the feeling Hakunetsu's vapors "uploaded" to a target's mind, they will have a hard time at noticing they actually have an arm still. (Of course, not saying one can't look and say "what the fuck, I still have it? Fucking illusion". But do realize that there must be common sense. If you feel you're fucked up, even though you aren't, you must react to the feeling, fake or not.

The Essence has a wide variety of uses, since instant actions like feeling a sword stab one's body to duration actions like being choked. Of course that, to prevent godmode, the stipulation is that Rekkan can only create one sensation at a time per target. Adding that, the user is able to switch the sensation on a target ONCE per use. That means that an instant action can suddenly be switched to a duration action in the same region. For example, a cut to the stomach can be switched to a continuous stinging burn or whatever to the stomach, it being the aftermath of a cut.

NOTE: A target THINKS they are being choked or beheaded or whatever, but they do not die of scare or whatever. No real injury occurs... Only the power of the mind is there.'

Role-play Sample: Rekkan closed his eyes and inhaled a loaf of fresh air that was still tingling around from the surviving atmosphere. He felt Hakunetsu's very own juice running freely through his stream of life as it erupted into energy at the mere contact it had with the brain of the Shinigami, allowing him to visualize what was real and what was far beyond the understanding of the spiritual world. As visions of the nude woman known as Hakunetsu floated about the mind of the Captain, he felt a harder pierce in his right hand's palm, his blood dripping once and being instantly absorbed back into its home as the creamy liquid of Hakunetsu invaded the body and organism of Rekkan. She moaned, her fingers penetrating into the Real of Never Ending Pleasure and Lust, body arching softly in waves that one could only think about being as violent as a calm breeze of a Sunday evening. But that was only Rekkan's mind getting the best of him, his eyes being opened once more so that he felt what was like to return to reality. It was disgusting and futile for one who dared not to linger in the sorrow and despair that others had let their hearts reside in over the centuries and millenniums that lasted merely as memories in Rekkan's mind. He could not feel what was in the Past, nor could he savor what was to come. And because of that, he was forced to live in the Present, obliged not only to be haunted by a nymphomaniac woman but by his terrible dreams and nightmares, which enveloped his spiritual being in a light of darkness.

But the miserable Shinigami was not left alone with his imaginations, for visitors had come to challenge him. He looked forward and clear, his brown eyes trailing through the black immensity of space and finding one that would have Reiatsu similar to that of a Hollow. More Reishi was released in the pure form of pressure as another figure was spotted by the perceptive senses of Rekkan, who could notice the female from the corner of his eyes. She was elegant and spontaneous, her military uniform showing more than just some kind of loyalty to an old empire that had risen and fallen so quickly in the Path of Time. But it was not her clothing that made Rekkan so intrigue about her, but those red and fleshy lips that could be portrayed as those of a lustful creature. Her own form and substance would be ravaged of the unnecessary accessories and wear that Civilization was so fond to create as the Shinigami saw her with true eyes that could see the totality of one body, from one side to the other, without even circling around it. And more importantly, his eyes weren't even staring directly at her, showing a proficiency of the Shinigami at perceiving his surroundings with ease and gentle care. The creature remained patient and motionless, her lips parting softly and muttering a sound that would only echo through space like a faint melody which refreshed one with sweetness. Rekkan's spine shivered at such feeling, the sound being brought by the living atmosphere's wind only to clash against the Death God's skin and make his senses tingle even further.

But in the end, the woman was nothing more but an enemy. It was weird for Rekkan, considering he was so fond of women. Yet, it seemed that he always caught them on the opposite side of the battlefield, like a test he had to endure in order to become stronger and be able to rise higher to grasp whatever was what he desired to grasp. The only thing he knew was that such thing was way high up in the sky, past the galaxies and black holes that formed the Universe. One would think that even the Universe's infinite dimension could not stop the Shinigami's arm from breaching through the limitless barrier and grasp whatever was impossible to acquire. He found himself floating in a sea of dreams before waking back up into reality and realizing that not much more than a second had passed and that he was still there...

As a world of endless possibilities formed around the Shinigami, he was keen to understand that two new figures had just arrived. One would be a human, a survivor from the destruction... Yet, the human was no normal being, as it held enough spiritual energy to entertain Rekkan. He spoke of some stress-relief confrontation, probably between himself and Rekkan. But yet, the Captain was not ready to fight... He could feel his veins pumping louder and stronger as they were swarmed with the creams of Hakunetsu as she whispered to him, she forced him to wait... However, not even one's Zanpakuto can hold instincts for long. She growled at the sudden creation of a mere energy bullet by the Hollow, who aimed to hit Rekkan right in the head. What a bold move that was, yet rash. Rekkan tilted his head to the left, cocking it as a misunderstanding expression revealed itself upon Raistlin. A beast was looking at the Hollow as the bullet missed its target, continuing to flutter through the atmosphere as its trajectory was blocked by the arriving officer of the Seireitei, gravity taking its toll as it was now able to trespass not through the head, but the solar plexus. The beast felt the one who confronted it was ridiculous. Rekkan sighed heavily in disappointment as he cocked his head back into a normal position, leaning his body forward as his left foot's toes pressed against the hard soil of the meteor. The form and substance of the crazed pervert was sprung forward, his companion being swung from left to right in a beautiful arched motion as one star was able to launch its rays of light against the blade and make it glitter. One would say that the damned Orc, which was what the first arriving figure resembled to, would have its midriff section cut in half. "I see you... Do you see me...?" Muttered Rekkan under his breath, right foot planking against the ground for a steady chance at retreating or countering, for one would notice his left hand gripping the sheathe of the katana and being motioned up with due time.
