Basic Information
Name: Shinjou Kagaku
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Grade: N/A
Looks:
Shinjou at first glance looks as if he could be dead. He has a very pale complexion and not very meat on his bones. Shinjou’s check bones are just peeking through if you look closely enough and his collar bone is apparent even through a small layer of clothing. The man has slim, long, black eyebrows that stretch out further then his eyes on both sides. His messy, black hairy almost drapes over his dark brown eyes. Shinjou’s brown eyes almost completely blend in with his pupils giving his eyes an evil look. Whenever, he thinks his eyes gloss over with a slight grey color making his dead appearance look even more realistic. The man has very long fingers and toes with a slight black almost see-through patch of hair covering his knuckles. Shinjou’s teeth are glossy white and seemingly perfect.
Shinjou wears a black leather jacket and faded black jeans. He wears black skate boarding shoes on his feet and a black beret on his head. On the shoes is a white strip on each side connecting on the front of the sneaker and starting towards the beginning of the heel. Under his leather jacket he wears a black t-shirt with a blood red skull in the centre. On the back of the jacket is the same blood red skull. Around his waist weaving throughout his belt loops is a black leather belt. There is fancy, red stitching on the belt, lining the edge of it. On the front of the belt is a shinny, steel belt buckle in the shape of a skull.

After this period the opponent gains the symptoms of and mild dehydration which leads to a water-electrolyte imbalance. This causes delirium for the next four posts. After this period Shinjou must touch his skin to his opponent's somehow after which the opponent's organs begin to fail placing them in a comma. All of the posts durations stated above must be within the target area. Once one leaves the are they are still affected by the stage they are at until, one day has passed.
Background and Personality
History:
Shinjou grew up in a small village just an hour outside of Chicago. His parents were immigrants from Japan but, Shinjou was born in the US. Shinjou is named after his father Chinou Shinjou Kagaku the theoretical physicist. His mother is an engineer as well so, his family was fairly wealthy. They left Japan so they could raise they child in peace without all the population issues and crime of the bigger cities. They had nice three story house in suburbs and the whole family was happy there until Shinjou’s powers awoke. It was on his 13th birthday that his father was diagnosed with stage three prostate cancer. The doctors gave him a matter of months to live and like most cancer they couldn’t determine the cause except that it was likely caused by radiation poisoning. Several, months passed with no avail and soon his father grew so ill he could not stand. He was in so much pain and so week that, three months after he was diagnosed Shinjou’s father died.
The death sent Shinjou’s family into a tailspin downwards. His mother had severe depression and could not support their lifestyle any longer. The family moved to an old, falling apart house on the edge of civilization. It was cold during the night and leaked whenever it rained. The house was nothing like the one they had lived in before the tragedy. Shinjou had to take up a job at 14 to support himself and help support his mother who was always out sick. One day when Shinjou came home from work he found his mother; hanged in the middle of their living room. He was severely traumatized and then thrust into child support. Shinjou was pushed from foster home to foster home, each worse then the last. Shinjou built up an immovable wall in his mind; blocking off all emotions and feelings so he would never be hurt again. When Shinjou wasn’t working or being scolded he read. He would run off to the nearest library and expand his vocabulary and knowledge. While, at the foster homes he would toughen himself up. On occasion he would wonder off into the woods for days sometimes even weeks with only a pocket knife. Shinjou would walk back into town afterwards with only the occasional scratch.
As soon as Shinjou turned 18 he disappeared from the public eye. He took a job at a nightclub in Chicago and that’s when he learned of what he had done. Because he had not spent much time actually in the foster homes it took longer to take affect but, it did. Shinjou was watching the news on a TV in a local pub when he heard the news. There were fifteen local accounts of cancer more then ever before. But, it was not the amount that got Shinjou it was the names. Every foster mother or father he ever had now had some sort of deadly cancer and would soon die. That’s when he realized just what he could do and that it could make him stronger. Sense, by now he had blocked all emotions the idea of gaining more strength only seemed logical so, he decided to test it. At nighttime Shinjou would take unsuspecting victims and practice his powers. He soon learned how to narrow the time in between first infection and death. Shinjou grew so adapt at killing people with it that the cops caught on and stationed a guard outside the night club. They were waiting for Shinjou when he exited and they almost caught him. But, he had trained himself to be fast and ruthless and he made it away.
Although, Shinjou had made it away from the cops he had to move far, far away. He heard of a place where there were others like him and he would fit in, where he could train himself to be strong and logical. That place was called Karakura Town. Shinjou couldn’t take the plan, too much security. So, he took the train and another train and another train; all the way to Japan. He was good at avoiding the conductor and didn’t have to pay a dim his entire trip. Once in Japan he hitchhiked the rest of the way to Karakura Town. Shinjou was quite surprised at the niceness of the people driving him there and practically every single car that passed him picked him and drove him quite a bit.
Personality:
Shinjou is what most people would consider to be dead; personality wise at least. He shows absolutely no emotions when addressing others or even when thinking to himself. Shinjou feels that all emotions only get in the way when in battle or when talking to others. He feels they are an unnecessary part of our evolution and they can only cause trouble when let free. Anyone, that uses emotions freely he doesn’t necessary dislike but, rather he pities them. But, pity is an emotion so a more appropriate phrase would be believes them as below his level of evolution. Shinjou believes that they are the lesser form of someone who has mastered their emotions and he doesn’t think of them as equals. He places very little trust in someone who openly uses emotion unless, they gain his trust. This can be a very tedious and frustrating process. Once someone has gained his trust Shinjou would consider sacrificing himself for them. He would do it if it seems logical to him.
Shinjou has replaced emotion with sheer logic. He sees every situation as a problem waiting to be solved by someone with complete control. Shinjou isn’t frustrated when he doesn’t solve a problem but merely, intrigued. He doesn’t see failure but, opportunity to try another way to solve the problem. When he first enters a battle or conversation he deeply analyzes every move his opponent makes to more understand them. Shinjou believes that if you understand someone then you have already beaten them.
Because of his strong believe in the control of emotions the race Shinjou believes to be the lowest are the Arrancar. Shinjou doesn’t really discriminate against the race because he believes presumptions can lead to misanalyses and that could be fatal. It just takes longer for such beings to gain his trust. Shinjou often battles his distaste for the Hollow race with his compressed emotions. Almost, all of the time the compressed emotions win but, if something were to set him over the edge it would be the Arrancar. Shinjou has no past history to cause such distaste; he just does because of the stereotypical emotions of the Hollow race.
