Ishi is tall, it's the first thing noticed about her, 6'0. She has long shapely legs and arms, though most of her arms and legs are muscle, and are hard to the touch. She has thin fingers and small hands to her amusement that they're the only thing delicate about her. She has a nice figure that's topped with a large chest that she usually pays no heed to and just wears baggy clothing and sports bras. In fact when she first moved to Karakura she had to wear her old uniform until a custom made uniform was made for her for the high school.

Ishi has a heart shaped face that framed with jagged locks of hair that frame her face, the rest of her hair hangs down her back unless she is in gym class, fighting, or doing something serious then she pulls her hair back into a ponytail. She has light blue eyes framed with thick dark lashes, her eyebrows are expertly plucked and shaped leading to a small pointed nose and full pink lips. She would be considered attracted but most guys are afraid of her height, grades, or muscles.

Ishi doesn't do well with much make up or mini skirts. Due to her having to special order all of her clothing, Ishi prefers her school uniform over much of the regular clothing. When she does wear normal clothing she prefers shorts, long skirts, sweat shirt, t-shirts, and tanktops. She likes to wear the colors, blue, green, and yellow.

Description:

1. Ishi soul manifests as two bracelets on each arm, two anklets, and one belt around her waist. They are silver in color, and are always warm to her skin. When she's about to battle, they grow hot before expanding over her arms, legs, and stomach creating an armor on her skin that can resist the claws of a hollow and if ever hold up against a Shinigami blade, depending on the spirit level. As Ishi begins to tire, usually after 45 minutes of fighting her armor will begin to crack and tarnish before she looses its benefits and it disappears.

2. Ishi's speed and strength are heightened enough to stay up with a hollow or low grade Shinigami. Can sense a little spiritual energy, but only in a general direction depending how strong it is.

3. A retractable blade on each of her wrists can be used to fight and damage Hollows. Made from the same material as her armor, its been known to snap in half once Ishi starts to tire.

Ishi's powers begin to focus around earth, to the point where she can feel vibrations if her enemy on foot, making her hyper aware of an attack. She draws strength from the earth itself, letting her pick up large chunks of earth and throwing them or slamming her fist into the ground and causing mini earthquakes to shake a foe or open up small chasms. Her voice in her head is much stronger and sometimes she can see the flutter of a wing as if some bird is perch on her shoulder

Ishi's powers have been in her family, passed down from generation to generation. Though her family's skills only show up in one person about one every hundred years. None the less every generation someone in the Ito line is chosen to learn the skills and teaching of the last person to pass them on when one of the family members gains the powers.

Though unknown to the family, what awakens the power is dying and coming back to life. Having that brief touch with death and perhaps the person's Spirit gives them the much weaker powers of the death gods. Why does this happen to the Ito family? Long ago, a Shinigami run from the Soul Society married into a peasant family and thus this is why the blood in the Ito's runs this way

Ishi is known for her ability to learn martial arts with ease, as well as condition her body for more stress then normal people. She seems to be built to survive and fight. Her preferred method of fighting is allowing her enemy to take hits on her protected areas of her body until she can find an opening to attack.




Background and Personality

History:

Ishi a normal girl growing up, well for the most part, she was able to see long departed souls in everyday life. Though she tended to ignore such spirits to spare herself from having the stigma of the, ‘weird girl.’ Ishi’s life wasn’t effected by this ability until the day she ‘died.’ An undiagnosed heart problem led to her collapsing in the train station, rushed to the ER after being dead for two minutes Ishi was brought back to life, only to find that things had changed, not only was her heart condition healed she could see something else. It wasn’t just wispy spirits she could see now, but horrible creatures that would rip the souls apart right in front of a group of unknown people.

Distrait, Ishi locked herself away from society, away from the horrors she saw. She spent most of her time in her parent’s temple mediating, to keep herself from thinking, feeling, sensing everything around her. But as the days went by, Ishi felt a growing presence inside of her, the sense of wanting to do something, to fight against these things, feelings that weren’t her own. Ishi’s mother visited periodically, begging her to return to normal day life. For a very long time Ishi refused her mother’s pleas. Until the anniversary of locking herself away, Ishi’s mother came to her and began speaking of their ancestors. How they had been powerful warriors wearing armor that was said to be their souls and wielding blades to cut down enemies. And then Ishi began being trained by her mother, skills that had been passed down from generation to generation in her family.

So she trained, honing the feeling inside her, that other person with such a high sense of honor and lust for battle. Her mother told her this was her spirit, that Ishi would have to confront it, control it, work along side it, and eventually it would reveal her powers. First all Ishi was able to summon was silver armor arm bands and leg bands, but as the trust between her and her soul grew, so did the armor and the strength she could wield. As she learned to use her family's power Ishi began to grow in height, shooting up a foot in a half in less then a year. As well as her body growing more the average, she felt a strange feeling to move away from the quiet town she was living in. Expressing this to her parents, they agreed to let her move out on her own to a place called Karakura. There Ishi enrolled in a good school, though due to her absence because of her training was placed back a grade, making her a year older as well. That didn't stop her from making good grades and eventually attending the region martial arts championship. But even as she tried to live a normal life she left that urge to hunt down those monsters.

Personality:

A solid, quiet girl, Ishi stands at 6'0 over almost all of her classmates. Not known to be socially out going, Ishi is known to study with some of the higher ranking people in her class and occasionally tutor, though the rumor is when she tutor's she tougher then most of the teachers and generally blunt. Therefore, she doesn't have many students lining up asking for her help. Which doesn't matter to Ishi, she has a lot of other things she has to focus on. Ishi is fifth in her class, and has a high regard to her grades, wanting to eventually go to a college in the United States, though what she wants to study in she doesn't know yet. She can be indecisive about things that involve other people, but when it comes to a fight she'll run right in without thinking. She had little regret during the national martial tournament beating a girl with a broken arm to take first place. After all there was a money prize and Ishi put it away for college.

Ishi prefers her own company, often ignoring invitations of overly excitable girls for parties or dates from guys, but those are rare and few due to her abnormal height she usually is given a lot of room to move. Though there is a small fanclub going on of the younger students who she rescued from bullies, she is oblivious of their existance.

Ishi enjoys her quiet existence, though by no means is it normal. Between studying and martial arts classes she also does rounds at night to fight off Hollows. Though she doesn't understand what these creatures are she feels compelled to fight them. This has resulted in many injuries a few that has left her in the hospital, but Ishi continues to hunt, strangely being urged on by a small voice in her head, almost like it's directing her and teaching her. But other then faced with a Hollow Ishi does not hear this voice at all.

Ishi has a mother and a father as well as five siblings, Ishi is one of the middle children. She has a loose relationship with her family who live in Northern Japan. She sometimes visits for the summer holidays, but prefers to keep them at a distance for their own protection, even though her mother is the only one that Ishi could relate to about what has been going on.

Ishi enjoys reading, doing puzzles, going shopping for second hand items, swimming, martial arts, math, gym class, and English. She likes getting up early in the morning watching the sun rise, then getting breakfast from a store down the street. She also has a soft spot for cute animals and children, often volunteering at animal shelters and children clinics on her days off.

Ishi hates cooking and is terrible at it, her kitchen is clean except for a large burnt area over her stove. She hates history, hot weather, cold weather, and getting caught in the rain.
