"It means that the devastation of one does not matter, nor does the devastation of many. But the devastation of the almighty one, or the the one who is of the most exclusive and highest hierarchy that clothe the one, and brought upon change and bounty to the many, that is the one that matters, and he or she is the one that must be protected at all costs."
The voice came from above as Saikuro was perched on one of the branches of the beautiful and magnificent Cherry Blossom tree that seemed to have emitted an invisible array of light on a gorgeous day in Seiretei. The sun's glory of bright light UV rays that decimated the skin in large doses did much to add to the effect, but in the end, it was the cherry blossom tree that ruled the day, or at least, the spot.
One would have to ask themselves however, why would a Captain, one of those responsible for taking care of squads of super-powered men and women who act as the police force of a giant fortress during troubled times, be relaxing on top of a tree? Simple, he had nothing to do for as of now, it was one of those rare moments that a Captain has. A moment of relaxation and resting, but one would know that it wouldn't last forever, and it were these moments that captains cherished.
A gust of wind decided to swing by and welcome the two Shinigami who were relaxing next to the tree. The wind kissed their cheeks and ruffled their hair as it picked up a few cherry blossoms and went along it's way, bidding them adeu as it continued down a set path until it was called again. Saikuro smirked as he spread his legs out along the branch, keeping his balance. His aqua blue eyes finally met that of the visitor to the tree. His pupils filled with curiosity that he hoped wouldn't end up with his demise as they shifted from the Shinigami, to his book, and back again.
"That book seems to be filled with wisdom, tell me, what is it called?" He asked in a monotone voice.
(Sorry for the short post. Not much to work with.)
