Dark night [open]

Everything was pitch black as the night surrounded and invaded, banishing any light in the surrounding area and it looked as though the darkness had even managed to extinguish the moon and stars. Most people would probably be asleep in their beds considering the late hour combined with the incredible darkness. However, with the darkness came a certain serentiy and calmness which Yuki thoroughly enjoyed, and so had decided to take a walk through the deserted streets which, in the day time, would usually be busy with activity. Everything was quite as she walked and she felt that she could just get lost in the thick silence that covered her. It was a good time to think and to just mull over the events of the day, which was justlike any other day - paperwork, paperwork and more paperwork. Why did captains need to do so much paperwork anyway? She sighed softly into the night air which was turning slightly chilly, which meant most normal people would already be frozen solid by the temperature.

Crash! In the air that had been so still and silent the loud noise sounded thunderously loud and Yuki, not one to be startled usually, jumped in surprise as the noise startled her from her deep thoughts. Because visability was extremely poor due to lack of lighting Yuki couldn't determine the source of the noise and so stood as silently and still as possible as her eyes quickly darted around trying to pick out any shapes even though it was impossible. Her muscles were tense as she waited and wondered what would happen next; she did not like surprises, especially ones that happened when she was so handicapped as to not being able to see. At least whoever it is won't be able to see either.

Sairento sat silently in the middle of the dark street, calmy meditating. He heard the loud crash as well as a small figure jumping after which. He read the spiritual pressure, recognizing it as a captain. It was past his curfew, as the soul society was keeping him on a short leash, per his last runaway incident. The male sighed, spiking his spiritual pressure up greatly to inform the female of his position on the ground. He brought one arm up to extend his index finger, his purple Reitsu gathering in the tip, causing a light to be formed.

The male stood slowly, holding it out in front of him, his light coming across the female's face. As he found her position, he let the reitsu die down, holding his form stock-still as he waited for her heart to slow it's incessid beating patterns. "Out a little late, aren't you?"

Yuki felt the deliberate power spike and watched as a man appeared out of the darkness, a small ball of light extending from the tip of his finger. She allowed her beating heart to return to normal, which didn't take more than half a minute, as she inspected the newcomer. He looked vagually familiar with long purple hair and what seemed to be purple clothing, though it was hard to tell in the faint light. And then it hit her why he seemed familiar to her.

"I could say the same thing about you Sairento Bakuhatsu. Though the difference between me and you is that I'm allowed to be out and about whenever I like, but if I so recall you are not. What are you doing here?" Yuki's eyes watched him, calculating and careful. She didn't know much about the situation concerning this rogue shinigami, but she did know that he was out past curfew, and there had better be a good reason for it so she knew whether he would come back to his room with her quietly or with the need for force.

He chuckled at the female's intuitiveness. So she HAD heard of him. He shouldn't have expected any less, as she said his name, she was a captain. He then smiled, though she couldn't see it in the dim light, she might've been able to hear it in his voice as he spoke,"Your words hurt like ceros, dear. But I guess I should tell you why I am out here. I am planning for the next time I escape"

He laughed at this, knowing it was next to impossible. The soul society had not spared any expense in trying to keep him in the spiritual world. He knew that they had guards watching him at all times, and that they had tapped his spiritual energy, to tell whenever he opened a soul gate. He sighed, realizing that soon she would be demanding that he go back to his room with her, or she would have to use force. Not being the one to want to fight a shinigami of her rank, he begrudgingly spoke. "i know you will be trying to get me to go back to my room. And I suppose I will go along with you quietly." His smile faded as he said this, waiting for her to make a move, or try to restrain him in the least.

Yuki let her lips curve up into a small, uncharacteristic smile as she listened to the rogue shinigami say the reason why he was out past curfew. She had to give it to him - he was very honest. However, Yuki knew, and she was pretty sure he knew as well, that excape would be impossible considering all the precautions that had been undertaken so that he wouldn't be able to escape. Though she was glad t ohear that he would follow her back tohis room without a fight - that made her job easier.

"I'm glad you figured what I would say next, so lead the way back to your room. But I'm warning you - no trying to get away from me because I will have to take you back their over my shoulder." Though right away Yuki saw too things wrong with that statement - first off he was alot taller than her (almost everyone was) so it would be more like her trying to carry him over her shoulder. Secondly, the reason why she was making him walk ahead was because she didn't know where he was staying. Hoping he wouldn't pick up on it and try to use it to escape - which wouldn't happen - Yuki decided to destract him with conversation.

"So, I've heard that you're staying confined here in Soul Society and that you're a rogue shinigami, but I don't actually know the story behind it. So why are you being confined?" She was genuinly curious because she had never met a rogue before and wanted to know the reasoning behind why this man went rogue.

Sairento chuckled, knowing that the female had no idea where he was staying. But he decided to act as if, the conversation had distracted him. I am being confined..Because I decided to go against those who 'made me'. I got tired of the facility giving me orders..So I had to escape. He stopped at the intersection, turning to a small, run-down looking shack.

Home sweet hole.. He sighed disgustedly, shaking his head as he entered. He then brought his arm up, aiming his index finger at a weird-looking lamp. Purple reitsu poured from it, pushing into the lamp, to cause a bright purplish light a form. He walked over to a small futon mat on the ground, slowly sitting on it, as he watched her. He kicked his shoes off, nodding for her to do the same.

He yawned, not even waiting, his form laying back on the futon, him sighing sadly as he looked at the hole in his roof. He knew that she knew there was no way for him to escape. But he had to be optimistic. One day, he would finally break free from the soul society for good.

Yuki followed him hesitantly into the rundown shack which he called home and followed his lead in taking off her shoes after he invited her to do so. As the room lit up in the strange purple light casting a purple tinge around the room Yuki was able to clearly see her surroundings. It wasn't much, and in her own personal opinion not fit to be called living quarters; and something should really be done about the hole in the roof. Just because he was being kept prisoner didn't mean that he wasn't allowed to live in a suitable place with no holes.

She slowly sank down to the ground until she was cross-legged, figuring she had nothing better to do tonight anyway, might as well keep him company. If she left he might run again as well.

"What do you mean people who 'made' you?" She looked over at his figure laying on a futon thoroughly intrigued by his choice of wording.

Sairento sighed at her question, his head shaking from side to side. You mean you haven't heard? Where do you think I get this purple reitsu? Upon my becoming a shinigami..I was taken deep within the sewers of the soul society. They ran tests on me. And they found out something in my life..had made it so in my afterlife my spiritual energy would be purple.He nodded at the lamp for an example. He then allowed an excess amount of his purple reitsu to filter through the pores in his body, slowly coming to envelop it in a slight miasma of sorts.

Sairento sighed once more, knowing that she probably didn't care about his history. He kind of missed the old days. When master yoruichi had trained him. But then..IT happened the facility thought it too dangerous for him to be out an about. So they sent men after him. He shuddered silently at the thought of how many he had killed, then turning his attention back to the female in his home.

I don't have anything to offer you for you company. But tomorrow maybe you could escort me to Karakura? And we can have riceballs. He smiled warmly at his offer. It had been a while since he had a riceball, he dearly missed the real food. He wasn't sure how the female captain would take it. But hopefully she would agree to it.

She gazed in slight wonder at the purple light, not having realised that it was purple for a reason. But, to run tests on a fellow shinigami? In her opinion that just was not right. And now that she was just as curious, if not more so, about this strange shinigami then when she had been to start off with. But, with a quick look outside through the hole in the roof, Yuki noticed the lateness of the hour and figured it would be rude to stay any longer, no matter how many more questions she may have for him. She sat silently while he continued to talk before standing up.

"I should be going now to allow you to sleep as I have probably out stayed my welcome. But I would very much like to go to Karakura tomorrow with you, and I know a place that sells great riceballs." She smiled slightly in response to his warm smile and put her shoes on. If they were going to Karakura tomorrow then she could inquire more about him. She stopped at the door as she was leaving and turned back to face him.

"Thank you for your company tonight Sairento. Oh, and I'll get somebody in sometime to fix that hole in the roof - nobody should have to live in such poor living conditions." And with that parting statement Yuki left the small home to head towards her own home near the 10th division.

Sairento nodded in response as he watched the female leave. He rubbed the left side of his chest softly to slow his beating heart. Now, he thought, I can get back to work. He reached under the futon, pulling out his old captain's Haori with the Yarrow upon it. He brought it to his lips, kissing it for good luck, before laying down. While in the lain position, he pushed the haori into his pocket, releasing the reitsu from the roof. The hole that had seemed to have been there before was instantly filled, having been an illusion. He sighed at how easy it was to use reitsu to make it seem like their was a hole in his roof. Especially on a dark night like this, it was so hard to tell. He released the reitsu from his home-made lamp as well, closing his eyes as he drifted to sleep.
